• Bug: Change of focus problem when Bibles are linked to Syntax Graphs

I've noticed that when Bibles (English, Greek, and Hebrew) are linked to syntax resources (Cascadia, Andersen-Forbes, Opentext.org), the focus will unexpectedly shift from the Bibles to the graphs. Link ESV to Andersen-Forbes Phrase Marker Analysis Select ESV Page up or down (using page up, page down, or space bar) After about 2 page up/downs, the selected

  • Re: Organizing Clippings

Scot, I was having the same issue today and just learned something new. If you want to put in a new clipping somewhere other than the end of the clipping file, do the following: 1. Scroll to the proper place in the clipping document. 2. Highlight the text you wish to clip. 3. DRAG the highlighted text to the appropriate place in the clipping document

William, I like doing inductive Bible studies. Each week people in the class get the following week's passage printed out (with paragraphs removed) so that they can read it and mark it up over the course of the week. They are encouraged to make observations (we aren't doing any formal inductive Bible study method, such as Precepts) and ask questions

  • Re: How to do a syntax search.

Nielsen, You can. However, there may be more than one clause intervening (as in Psalm 75:1-2). In the first search below, rather than specifying that the first clause wasn't 3rd masc plural, I specified that it wasn't the same as the second verb. It makes the search a little more general. Also, I added in an "anything" operator between the verb and

Sam, One of the challenges is that there isn't going to necessarily be amazing examples of how what you're learning at the moment impacts your interpretation of the Bible. The whole is definately greater than the sum of its parts! Keep going. As the pieces fit together, you'll see more and more how learning Greek and Hebrew can be wonderful tools. They

  • Re: Ok here is where I get confused.

Sam, One of the fun things about Greek is that almost every part of speech changes depending on how it is being used . So you're learning about case and how nouns can be found in different cases depending on how they function in the sentance. Well, just like nouns come in different cases, so do articles and pronouns (and more!). So you can have a noun
However, if I turn on "Match case" for the search, I get none, unless I use "believe AND Christ".
It should already be set correctly, but in case not, here's a picture showing how to set it to match all word forms. I get 7 results in 3 verses in the ESV.

Sorry about not being clear, Tes In the picture, the book on the left is "The Lexham Clausal Outlines of the Greek New Testament." The book on the right is the ESV. I have the inline interlinear display selected: It looks like you're using the NASB, which can also be set an interlinear mode: If that's too much information at one time, you can also use

Tes, I'm assuming you mean you can't read the chart. The title is: Encampment of the Tribes of Israel Numbers 2:1-31 Numbers 10:11-33 Then there are 12 squares, which have the names of the 12 tribes of Israel. Starting from the upper left hand corner square and moving clock wise the names are: Napthali Asher Dan (top) Judah Issachar Zebulan (right side

Quickly? Not that I know of. But a query can work: Create a collection containing the NA27 and the LXX Search that collection for @V Once the search populates, select "Analysis" Once this loads, make the window wide enough so you can see the "Lemma" column. Drag the Lemma column to where it says "Drag a column here to group by that column". Collapse
