• Re: 12 Days of Logos

On a more positive note, the first day sale on the Word Biblical Commentary is a great deal for those who don't have it. The individual volume sale for $14.99 is wonderful too. This set is well worth this price, although like any set, some volumes are more valuable than others. For the money, this is still one of the best critical commentary sets out

  • Re: Preaching the Word or The Bible Speaks Today?

I have both and find them both very valuable. However, if I could only choose one, I would choose Preaching the Word because the information you will find in The Bible Speaks Today can be found in other commentaries.

  • Re: So...what would make you buy more books from Logos?

    1. The ability to choose specific resources to receive at a sale price. I remember once several years ago that Logos did a promotion where purchasing resources resulted in Logos credit to use toward any other resources. Anything that would enable me to zero in and get a deal on things that I want would give me incentive. 2. More collections of well

  • Re: Adrian Rogers Sermons

In 2003, I had the privilege of being part of the first Adrian Rogers Pastor Training Institute. He invited 50 young pastors to spend three days with him. He cleared his calendar and invested in us. He did not talk with us at all about "church growth" or "how we do it at Bellevue," He talked with us about being a man of God, integrity, marriage, family

Just place my pre-order. In my opinion, these will be worth every single penny. Now if only W.A. Criswell would become a Logos product. I know all of them are available for free online but to have them in Logos would be outstanding.
Greg, just adding to your thinking, would you have bought Logos if a $100 per year was a requirement? Vs Accordance or WordSearch (presumably Bibleworks)? I don't doubt businesses by definition need to stay in business. But the subscription argument isn't vs Amazon Prime, but Logos' direct competitors. I think Phil made the better
And what of the users who do upgrade each year, and already subscribe to Logos Now? Or is your $100/yr support contract only for people who don't upgrade and don't subscribe?
I was just throwing out an idea and a number for discussions sake. I know there are a host of issues and questions that I cannot even begin
Sad to think that a heavy investor may be considered a liability. Heavy investors are not interested in seeing their investment drained. While there are outlets for our thoughts and ideas, I do not think they are seriously considered. The business has grown, and some long term investors have the feeling of being a liability. [/quote
I get that if you invested thousands you may have all the books and functionality you need, and may even want the product to 'stop moving' so you can just master the tools you need each day. But if you want us to be here to update things for iOS 14 or Windows 12, we need to find a way to continue revenue. (This is a bit
What's your solution? I'd love to hear your ideas!
Bob, thank you for your comments. I believe the overwhelming majority of us users understand the quandry of the future being subscription while maintaining your commitment to ownership customers. Here are my personal thoughts.... 1. Davis, I have been a Logos user since buying Logos 3 in 2008. I believe you will find Logos to be a great investment you will use with great profit for many years. Let me address a few of the issues you mention. First of all, if you are not happy with any Logos purchase they have a standard 30 day money back return policy. Don't hesitate to use that

I would buy the Thompson Chain Reference Bible in Logos. I used it in print early on in my ministry and have it on my shelves. Used it until I purchased Logos in 2008.

I too used Dave Kaplan. He was outstanding. My experience over the last year has been that I like the Logos product better and better - Logos 7, LogosNow, etc. However, customer service is now incredibly non-responsive and lacking. You cannot even depend on a reply to emails - which I absolutely do not understand in today's world. Personally, I wish

I think the previous replies brought some clarity. Personally, I have struggled with this issue too - everyone who is passionate about Logos likes the idea of being listed as having one of the higher packages. However, when I honestly take a look at my library, it really doesn't matter what I am classified as. I have all of the resources I have purchased

I would be among the first in line to purchase those sermons. Adrian Rogers might be the best pulpiteer of the 20th century. In 2003, I had the opportunity to spend three days with him - along with several other young pastors. He cleared his calendar and invested three days with us. Interestingly, he did not talk at all about "how to have a big church
