I see that! I upgraded on the 2nd day and I don't remember there being as many options on that page when I upgraded so they must have added to it as the week went on. Now I know to wait a week when L8 arrives :)
You can contact sales and I am sure they will still give you the deals. The only requirement is that you purchase

  • Re: The Evolution of Logos Bible Software

Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I bought Logos 3, and, to be very honest, hardly ever used it due to the steep learning curve. I went back to my old Bible software. Thankfully, I was still in tune enough to know when Logos 4 came out and that was a game changer for me. The functionality and usefulness went through the roof for me at that time

  • Picked up two tremendous resources for a great price

Even though I am a LogosNow member (and intend to remain so), I decided to upgrade to a Logos 7 base package. It's important to really look closely because all of the package levels have changed significantly. I intended to simply upgrade to one of the higher packages, but I found out that putting a base package in your cart opened up significant savings

Very good word. I agree completely. Personally, I believe that Logos is an incredible value.

I agree, Anthony. I came in with Logos 3 on a DVD in 2008. While I haven't accumulated the huge library that you have, I do have a 2700 volume theological library that gives me tremendous horsepower in my study and preparation as a busy pastor. Do I read all the commentaries I have every week on the passage I am preaching? No. Do I consult all of the

  • Re: New Logos Now Membership Program

When Logos Now first came out, I subscribed immediately on a month to month basis. After a couple of months, I decided to cancel, thinking that it wasn't a good value. However, after canceling, I realized that I had grown accustomed to a couple of features and resources that were exclusive to Logos Now. As soon as the yearly $89 became availalbe I subscribed

  • Re: Logos for Dummies (Logos 101)

I am struggling to understand your issue. Logos is incredibly customizable and is easily used for everything from a basic Bible reading plan to in depth academic research. It is simply a matter of learning to do what you want to do because the software is capable of infinitely more than most users will actually do. That being said, if all that a person

  • Re: The Logos Now Membership Program is here!

Just now having time to quickly look through this new program. Here are three quick conclusions that I drew. Please correct me if I am incorrect on any.... 1) Rather than being a new thing, this is an improvement upon and clarification of Logos Now in light of Logos 7 likely being released later this Fall. 2) As a present Logos Now subscriber who is

One more question... 3) I already have a very extensive commentary collection. What value does a set like this add for the $$$?

  • Re: The Preacher's Outline & Sermon Bible

This is scheduled to ship on Friday. I am debating canceling my pre-pub order for this before then due to tight budgets. I have two questions... 1) What is the general theological perspective of the set? 2) Is there any way to find out what the "regular" price of the set will become if I need to wait until next year to get it.

  • Change in base packages with Logos 7

As I am looking at my resource spending for coming months, I have a question. Since the general consensus seems to be that we can expect Logos 7 sometime this fall, should we expect to see great changes in the makeup of the base packages. I know that was the case when Logos 6 came out, but I am wondering if that normally happens each time a new version

  • Re: Best approach to start library

Jeffrey, I agree the first issue is how you plan to use Logos. For instance, some people only use Logos for daily devotionals and preparation for teaching a small group Bible study/Sunday school lesson each week. Others (like me) use Logos for many hours each week for indepth study and sermon preparation. How you will use Logos also affects my recommendations
Thanks Edwin! I did end up getting the Platinum package, and I am enjoying it a lot thus far
Just out of curiosity, what made you decide to go up to Platinum rather than buying Gold and spending the difference on specific resources as several of us advocate? Was it particular resources that made you feel Platinum was worth
Scripture links alone improve the value that much.
t I agree. Resources like Systematic Theologies are the resources that have the MOST added value by being in Logos format due to to scripture links, searchability, seamless links to other resources. Having used this resource both in print and in Logos there is no

Alabama, you make a great point here about the fluidity of base packages - they change up every time a new version of Logos comes out. For instance, they are advertising the Pulpit Commentary for free with the purchase of a base package. It was included in most of the base packages until Logos 6 came out. I agree 100% if a person wants what is in a

Keith, I am a pastor who prepares sermons weekly. In my opinion, the most "bang for your buck" that gives you both quality and quantity is to upgrade through the Standard Gold base package. The commentaries you get with the base packages through Gold are excellent - New American, Pillar, and the UBS Handbooks being the best. However, there are four
