You may want to check on that because I think you may be misunderstanding something. As I understand it, you never lose what you paid for. When you upgrade, you upgrade the Logos app. The portfolio that you already own you keep. The NEW portfolio may have additional books and resources. If you choose to upgrade to the new Portfolio you will only be

Hi David, What you describe is certainly not normal behavior. Logos will index anytime you do book upgrades. You can pause the indexing at any time if it slows down while using it. You should contact support. As an update, once I did manual indexing the app is working much better. The slow down I experience is mainly when I start the app but once is

Some good news. Rebuilding the Index did help quite a bit. AT least I can now use the software. Thanks.

Dave, I just entered Rebuild Index in the Go box and it says it is indexing. But it looks like the same as regular indexing. How do I know that it actually is rebuilding the index? Thanks

I wish I could switch my HDD for an SSD in my iMac but unfortunately, Apple makes it expensive to do and I will probably replace all my computers by next year.

Thanks, John and everyone else who has come to help. Really appreciate it. Support reached out to me and worked to see why I was experiencing and what could be done. Tommy from logos was very helpful. Hew as able to see what I was experiencing and passed the information to further see why I experience it and what can be done. I am glad that I may not

Thanks. I do agree, that is why I have all those features off. I always open to the possibility that there may be something corrupt with the computer itself. Let me give you an example. Whenever I think I may want to use Logos 8 I have to launch the program and literally go to lunch to allow enough time for the app to load up and get to a point that

Thanks. I have check my hardware several times. This is my work computer where I spend countless hours editing photos and videos without any major issues. I am a heavy photoshop users dealing with huge files. Thinking that something runs fine is also relative if you don't have a point of reference. Because of Logos slowensess I had to buy Accordance

I would not say enjoy but rather tolerated. Logos has always been a slow and clumsy app but at least in 7 it seems to work a little better for me. I upgraded to Logos * because we were told that the experience it would be much better than in Logos 7. My experience has been miserable since then. I literally fear and hate to open Logos 8.

  • Logos. I give up.

I had high hopes on Logos 8, especially with its bragging about how much faster and better it was. Any task in Logos is painful. Constantly beach ball. Yes, I am fuming. How would you expect to feel after paying thousands of dollars for something you cannot use? From what I gather from those who defend Logos, it seems like in order to run Logos in any

Truly appreciate your comments. I too dread opening Logos 8 to do anything. I know I have to start the program around 15 minutes before I plan to use it to allow the program to actually settle so it can be used. And still, is sluggish. I am a photographer by trade. I think a computer that it is used to edit 4K video should be able to run a database

Now that Logos 8 is out I have the following concern. What's the use of adding new useful features, like Canvas, while the app work sooooooo slow in OS X Mojave as t make the app unusable except for Bible reading? I don't get it. I think the #1 complaint for years is that Logos is slow and I have been faithfully waiting for an upgrade after upgrade

  • Re: RIP Tim LaHaye

Pastor Tim LaHaye was my first pastor. I became Christian while transiting the Panama Canal with the Navy. The ship arrived at San Diego and I immediately went to a local Bible store to get a new Bible. as a days old believer I asked the lady for a good Bible teaching church and she suggested Scott Memorial Baptist Church in San Diego. I attended the
