• Re: SUGG: Norton Anthologies & Critical Editions
Getting Norton's titles in the Logos/Noet catalogue is one of my top priorities. Norton's texts are at the core of classical/humanities studies. Obviously there are no guarantees, but I will do my best to get as many Norton titles as is possible.
Hey Ben, any update on Norton titles yet?

  • Re: Milford Charles Murray

Rosie, I too got misty eyes as I read of his passing and likewise did not know him personally. I've mostly been a lurker on these forums but always knew when I saw a comment from Milford I was in for a positive/gentle message. Maybe it's because I'm only 25 but he always came across to me as the loving wise grandfather on this forum. What a great example

  • Re: Please help me to get rid of these attacks.

Josh and Rosie both have good suggestions and I recommend both. As a separate note, if it is malware its removal will possibly disrupt your Internet protocol and you'll lose internet from that computer. This doesn't happen a lot, but wanted to give you a friendly heads up to make sure you have another way to access the internet if this is the case.

Below is a blog from a fellow Logos user with some of his recommendations. I've found it to be a pretty comprehensive overview of helpful resources to cover most needs. http://nicksteffen.wordpress.com/logos-recommendations/

I actually had no idea this even existed in Logos. Thank you very much, Kendall! Even has a nice MIDI for each song.

  • Re: How to use use the dictionary?
It is because of the way the IOS devices implement the dictionary function. The Logos app simply uses that, which is quite beneficial. Unfortunately, the Android OS does not have the same functionality, so Logos has not found a way yet to implement a similar dictionary function. The information came from Logos in a similar
Hi Andy
If I highlight a word on my wife's ipad it automatically pops up with the definition at the bottom
Is this using the Kindle app on her iPad? You don't get the popup you describe on the Logos app on the iPad.
Is there a similar way to do that on my nook hd+?
Will moving it to the SD card also move the entire library as well?

  • How to use use the dictionary?

If I highlight a word on my wife's ipad it automatically pops up with the definition at the bottom. Is there a similar way to do that on my nook hd+? I tried and didn't see any options for looking up the definition. Is the only method to open up the dictionary and type in the word or is there a more efficient way? Thanks for your help!

Adam, can you expound a little on your experience with NIDB? Are there any illustrations or pictures? Thanks!

  • Re: Which Encyclopedia/Dictionary to Get In Print - ZEB or NIDB?

I thought about that and I still might get it in the future on Logos anyway, but I still find physical books have their uses. It's kind of like having a lot of different bibles on Logos but I still use and appreciate a physical bible. You would think being in my 20s I'd be sold out for everything digital but it's nice to read sometimes without looking

  • Which Encyclopedia/Dictionary to Get In Print - ZEB or NIDB?

I am curious which Encycolopedia/Dictionary you guys would recommend for me to get in print, Zondervan's Encyclopedia of the Bible or the New Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible? I already have AYBD and ISBE on Logos, but I want a physical dictionary to have around the home. At the moment I'm leaning towards ZEB simply because I think the pictures
Aaand most of what I said had already been said! :) Once again, I chair the Department of Redundancy Department.
Still appreciate the input. I really didn't think about the publisher's involvement. My problem with the whole "secret" aspect of this was that Logos knew the L4 packages were changing in L5 and didn

Why would Logos pull out the two of the most popular commentaries? Simple, Logos can sell them for more individually
Have you considered the possibility that these were decisions from the publishers not from Logos? Now, I dod not have inside information, but that must be considered as an explanation

I wanted to express my experience and thoughts with the introduction of L5. I upgraded from L4 Silver to L5 Gold last Friday and realized that L5 Gold does not have NIGTC. My fault, I should have looked over the resources better. I didn’t realize how much libraries get changed even though the new Logos
