Steve & Orpheus, What is the battery life like? Do you find that it is limiting your plans?

Thanks again Pistos. I have ben quite happy with Logos on my Android phone, so I was also considering an Android tablet. Your experience is guiding me back to the Windows 8 platform, and I will save for the best processor I can afford - with stylus - and keyboard?!

I just tried the Windows 8 App on my daughter's tablet and was very disappointed - but it is early days yet! I can't find any information on the website or the blogs about it though. Has anyone heard any plans for the development of this app?

Thanks Pistos. When using the Windows 8 app, is highlighting still too slow, and does the app solve the touch interface problems?

  • Anyone using an Intel Atom Z2760 powered tablet with Windows 8 and Logos 5?

Logos recommends an i5 processor, but I wondered if anyone has tried Logos 5 on one of the new Windows 8 tablets with the Intel ATOM Processor Z2760? Acer offer the W510 and Samsung the ATIV Smart PC and I wondered if these might be ok for reading and highlighting while away from our desktop PC?

Thanks for letting us know Orpheus. David, your advice is good, but like Joshua said, it is hard to wait! I'm hoping that the release of the Surface Pro might help bring down prices in the next month or two.

I was very impressed with the ATIV 500, but then read David's post above which suggested that 64Gb wouldn't be enough, then Michael's post above warned that an i5 processor would be the minimum he would recommend. Like you, I find the expense to be hard to come at. Hopefully someone else has tried running Logos 5 with an Atom processor, and can save

Sounds great Steve! Just out of interest, what is the conversion rate between a New York Second and The Great Aussie Long Weekend?

G'day Steve, What sort of tasks do you use the tablet for? I am still studying at Bible College, and thought this would help to get through all the reading(!), but also enable me to have the full version of Logos ready, while the keyboard would enable note taking in lectures. Could I also use it to preach from, and connect to a data projector for a

Does the stylus work well for selecting and highlighting? I asked our Logos Tech team, and they hadn't had an opportunity to play with one yet.

Thanks for letting us know David. It sounds like the stylus provided with the Samsung ATIV Smart PC Pro would be very useful for highlighting text. How do we find out if Logos can cope with a stylus (what they call the S Pen)?

I am looking for a tablet, and was leaning towards a Windows 8 tablet to ensure that I can use the full functionality of Logos, but they are very expensive compared to Android or Apple tablets. Is there a comparison anywhere of what you get/lose by using the Android operating system? There are a few other options other than the Windows Surface Pro like

Thanks Dan & JRS, Has anyone found any other discussion on the better tablets for Logos? I thought it would be quite a hot topic, but haven't found much at all.

Android vs IOS vs Windows 8? I am looking to buy my first tablet so that I can preach from it, and to use reading Logos books,e-books and sometimes taking notes at Bible College. It will be primarily for reading as I have a PC for use at home. From what I've been reading, the gap between Android and IOS is getting smaller, but would I get much better

Thank you again Bill, Dave, and Rick for your time and advice. The new box is working a treat, and I am now learning how to 'drive' Logos. It is already helping a lot in sermon preparation (and Greek classes!?). Best regards, Darren
