  • Re: Tagging Suggestions / thoughts in L8 Library

I was hoping you were closer. It's good to see that you're getting a lot of people in your church to use Logos. I'm in a large church but many of the people don't seem to be that interested. I've managed to get one family to buy it and a friend that's using the free version, but that's it. I use Logos just about every day and love it. When I lived in

  • Title Column in the Library

When I open the Library in Logos 8 I'm always having to resize the Title column and it's never wide enough. There's the Filter column, the Title column, and a column that says "No resource selected."I would like to get rid of the "No resource selected" column so that my Title column would be wider. Is this possible?

Cynthia, Just curious. What part of Florida are you in? I'm very close to Destin, FL. I love Logos. Had it for 12 years and still have a lot to learn. Blessings, Susan

Hamilton, Many thanks for the links you sent. I really like them. I have the June Hunt counseling journals and did not know about the journals that you sent with your links. I'll have to try and figure out how to order them, because they look so good. I don't really consider myself a counselor but it seems as though I'm involved in a counseling situation

Dear Hamilton, Thank you for your kind comment on the examples. I like your idea of doing a screen capture. I might start doing that. I started keeping a spreadsheet in Excel about 6 months ago. My headings are Topic, Source, Title of Book or Journal, Author, and Comments. I probably need to refine this even more. So far I have 128 entries in this spreadsheet

  • Re: Home Page of Logos 8

Dear "Keep Smiling" I try to read and study my Bible every single day. Usually, during this time I always go to Logos. One of my favorite things to do is to read the Home Page of Logos. Many times I would see a little blurb or article about one of the journals or books that I had in Logos and would have to go read more about that article. Examples:

  • Home Page of Logos 8

I have Logos 8 and do like this version. But I'm very disappointed in the home page. To me it seems that all Logos wants to do is sell something. I loved the Logos 7 homepage because it had a good balance of sales and showing you articles about different books in your Library. Many times it would highlight something in one of my books and I could hardly

[quote user="Susan W. Murphy"] I am a big user of Journals. I love the tidbits of information that they give. There is a website that gives some free journals. Recently I downloaded some free journals from http://thegospelcoalition.org into Logos. They were: Themelios: Volume 41, No. 3, December 2016 Themelios: Volume 42, No. 2, August 2017 Themelios

  • Controlling Spirit - How to search in Logos

I'm counseling a single mom with 2 teenagers. She has an individual (her ex-husband) who tries to control her. He's furious at her because she is planning to take their kids to see his Mom. I'm looking for material in Logos on a controlling spirit. How would you search for this in Logos? I appreciate any advice you can give me.

Mr. Barns, This list is awesome. I'm so thankful for it. I have a question. I notice that the earlier journals are named "The Journal of Pastoral Practice." Is that correct? I believe I'll be using this list a good deal. Thanks again. Susan Murphy

  • The Journal of Biblical Counseling - Is There a List of what is in each Journal

I recently ordered the Journals of Biblical Counseling. These are fantastic journals on how to counsel and deal with many problems: Loneliness, Anger, Abortion, Gay issues, Marriage issues, addictions, etc. Does anyone know if there is a way I could get a list of the problems that each journal deals with? This would be a great help in knowing what to

  • Re: Keeping Track of Articles Read

Hi Susan: Theoretically you could create a spreadsheet (like excel in microsoft, or numbers in mac), and put a brief description of what is it that you like, keywords, etc., then paste also the url for that section in the resource, that way you can sort to find particular information easy. It does take discipline and a lot of manual manipulation pasting

I'm going to try "Creating Links to Specific Logos Resources". I'm planning to put this in an Excel document. I would like for Logos to make it possible so that we could put this in a document in Logos, so that we could easily go to it in Logos. Like in Tools have a feature that says "Further Study" or something like that. And I would like for it to
