  • adding a note to a resource

Logos has been running a series on the best commentaries with Nijay Gupta talking about the strengths of different authors and books. I wish I had that information handy when I have my passage guide open and a list of commentaries before me. It could work like any note, right click on the resource and add a note. Logos 7 had a feature where you could

Thanks, Dave MJ got back first, and I was able to take care of it. I tried dragging, I tried a few formulas. Nothing worked. But it's OK now I tried an AND formula. that didn't work. Guess I should have tried OR. Thanks again.

I tried that. It opened the resource instead. I'll try again just in case.

  • study bible collection

Logos finally created a type: study bible I thought they would have a pre-made collection. They didn't, so I created one. type:study bible Now there was one other book in their Bible Notes type that I wanted to add to this collection, but I find no way to do it. I could tag all the study bible type books with my own tag: study bible, but surely there

Thank you, that was quick. At least they know about it. Any suggestions in the meantime. Apart from creating a collection of study bibles by using type:bible notes and individually removing the irrelevant material. Thank you. Again.

  • study bibles

I just got the Orthodox study Bible and thought I would like to have that included in my passage guide. I knew I already had a number of study Bibles. I thought first that Logos would already have a collection of them, but they don't. So I tried to create a collection. First I entered study Bible. I got one hit. The Orthodox Study Bible. Then I typed

  • Re: Information missing from new Context menu?

I remember saying on a number of occasions that I like 7 better. I liked the fact that I could mark a commentary in a passage guide if I found it particularly helpful. I'm not in ministry any more, but I had suggested more than once that it would be helpful for people who study a passage over an extended period of time could have some way to mark resources

thank you. I like the old right click better. I suspect that only the real advanced users will see the improvements, assuming, of course, there are any./

I see the information at the top right, but I don't see anything that will help with symbols. Thank you for writing.

The idea of a Bible software is to make things easier and faster for the user. I'm spending too much time in the forums asking questions that shouldn't even need to be asked. And you still didn't get all of them. How are people like me supposed to figure them all out?

  • the new right click - again

When right click on a word and want to look up the Greek or Hebrew lemmas, the program would say lemma if you hold the mouse over the word. It doesn't do that anymore. There are some symbols in front of the words, but they are not obvious. there is a check sign, which I assume is the root sign. The others are blank to me.

Years ago all the programs came on disks. Now everything has to be downloaded. I can back up files, but I'm told that programs need to be installed and not just copied. The thought of having to rebuild everything from scratch is depressing.

Thanks, Paul. I wish I could say I feel easier about getting 10 and installing it over 7, but I don't. Especially when they recommend getting a new computer. Not enough to clean the hard drive, But then my computer was built for me by my computer guy and I asked for 7 instead of 8.

I asked if 10 can be installed over 7, without cleaning the hard drive and then installing.
