Thanks, Fred. I saw that but I didn't see the kind of search the article refers to in there. The article made it sound like it was all so easy. Like the template was right there, and just type a couple of words and it's done. Thanks again

  • Re: intersect searches

Hi Dave That worked, but I should learn the rules somehow. I found out now I had to capitalize INTERSECTS. I'm guessing I would have use 'place' or 'thing' in another context. The article said the help manual in the search window is so helpful. It made no mention of this kind of search. Thank you, Dave I appreciate it.

  • intersect searches

In the latest Bible Study magazine, there was an article on how to do a search for the word Rock but only when it applies to God. I am unable to duplicate this. The article sounds like all I would need to gather the information is to use the help manual that opens up with each search. Well, it makes no mention of such a search. I called customer service

  • Re: searching for a word in all its forms

Thank you, Dave. I'm making progress here. I see that if I click on basic instead of morph, it shows the lemmas in context as part of the document, which I would rather have. Thank you very much. I'm learning.

OK, I'm lost. What does lbs or el or investigation have to do with the search? I don't know how to create my own search. But thank you for taking the time to try to help me.

  • searching for a word in all its forms

I'm working with Aristotle. I have the Loeb opened side by side, Greek - English. I want to find every occurrence of a Greek word. How do I do a search that finds that word in all of its various forms? Thank you

OK, that was helpful. Thank you. I see now there is a difference, and I know now why. Thanks again. I appreciate it.

  • wish list

I like the idea of a wish list. Sometimes I might read of a book recommendation and then later forget what book that was. By putting it in a wish list, I know to get that book at some point. Where the Logos wish list fails me is that when I see books for sale, I don't know if they are in my wish list. I could open my wish list and look for the book

  • Re: making book suggestions

Thank you. This is a little encouraging. I have essentially given up making suggestions. I could suggest Messianic Revelation in the Old Testament by Gerard van Groningen, Baker, 1990, but I won't. After a few hundred suggestions without so much as an acknowledgement that it was received or without seeing any of those books being offered, I have more

  • making book suggestions

I've sent hundreds of book suggestions to suggest@logos..com Now it seems that that is the wrong place, and that every book needs a complete bibliographic workup. I would think an organization like Logos that deals with books would be able to put that together faster than most of the rest of us. I get the impression that what I did was a waste of time

I tried but I'm not getting very far. I know at some point in the future I'll wish I knew how to do it, but right now I want to get on to some other things. Thank you again.

Thank you. I don't see why that needs to be a separate function. But thanks again. I really appreciate your help.

I don't know how to do that. The top line: Search all text in all passages for {an icon which says: send to} the close icon next lind the box where I enter the word(s) at the far right it gives a word count and a close icon That's it.

I don't have those arrows. I have a regular monograph. I clicked on the magnifying glass next to the text box, it said search all text in all passages for: I typed the word, it gave me a total, but no arrows.

  • Re: finding search results

Above the text, there is a row of symbols, one of which is a magnifying glass, which gives the option: Search all text in all passages for, and then you fill in the blank. I did what you said and found what I was looking for in an instant. So I found what I was looking for, and I am really, really appreciative, but I am curious about this other search

  • finding search results

Maybe I''m going crazy here, but something changed in my searches, and I don't think it's me. I have a book opened, and I'm looking for a certain passage, so I typed in a word that I know is in that passage. It notes that that word occurs 95 times in the book. There used to be a little icon or something that I could click on, and it would take me to

  • pictures

I was reading through Exodus and wanted to see a picture of the Tabernacle. I'm sure there is some way to do this, but something like this shouldn't need a video showing me a ten step procedure. I right-clicked on the word and got a lot of options, including a list of about 30 Bible dictionaries. I clicked on a bunch but no pictures. I think anytime

  • prolong March Madness sale

I am suggesting that Logos prolong the sale of the March Madness Bible book bundles. There are so many bundles that have so many books and authors that we have never heard of that we have to look up, find prices, and then decide if the bundle is worth the price for what we need. Very time consuming. Thank you Larry Craig
