You can read more about people's experiences in general with the Note here . You'll get all the pros and cons, and then some. If you find the price a bit steep, Onyx should have (as I mentioned earlier) smaller and less expensive readers running Android 6.0 later this year. E-Ink has some limitations, and not every app is optimized to look good or work
Mark, As you use you the Logos app on you Onyx Book Note 10.3, please give us reports. I am considering purchasing one myself. How robust is the Logos App on your Book Note? Is there delay in turning pages? How do maps look? How well do searches work? Are links live and do they work? Does it frequently lock up? Do you need

One more thing you can do with the Onyx Boox Note, or the larger Max 2: you can use Splashtop, or a comparable app, to view your desktop display on the Note. You can run the desktop version of Logos/Verbum on an E-Ink display. There is a slight delay in response, but it is workable.

7848.NoteMovie.m4v Here I have uploaded a very unprofessional little video of me using Verbum on my Note. It gives you some idea of what it looks like (assuming that the video comes out passably well). The Note does not have a frontlight, by the way. But if you have enough light to read a paper book, you will have enough for the Note!

My best guess is that these devices will be available
Would love to see a video of someone demoing Logos on an e-ink device.
If you search older posts, you may find a video or two that were done with the older Android 4.2.2 E-Ink devices. I recall seeing at least two. At some point, I may attempt to do a video of Verbum on my Note. If/when I do, I'll post it.

  • News for E-Ink fans

Onyx Boox will be introducing some new devices this year, including eReaders with a 6 in. and a 7.8 in. display, all with upgraded hardware and all running Android 6.0. The 6 in. device is called the Poke and the 7.8 the Nova. I don't know about pricing just yet. The Nova should be better for Logos/Verbum than the Poke, I would think. Thanks to my IRS

Good luck! I gave up on this, and on reporting any other bugs to FL, , a LONG time ago.

Soon the smaller and slightly less expensive Note 2 will be released by Onyx. Not sure of the price, but it will be less than the Max 2. I actually had a post announcing these two some time ago on this thread. (No responses!)

  • Re: Newest Verbum/Logos Android app that works with Android 4.0.4?

4.3.9 is the most recent version of Logos that will run on Android 4.04. It is fairly snappy on my Kepler Pro, though its feature list now looks somewhat limited compared to more recent versions. So far, the only resource that I use frequently that will not open on 4.3.9 is the New Interpreter's Bible. Of course, the list of non-working resources will

  • New Android e-Ink devices with Android 6.0 on the way

For all you eInk fans out there, you may be interested in this . Onyx will be introducing some new eInk devices in early 2018, and two of them will run Android 6.0. They are larger devices (9.7 inch and up) and so may be a bit more expensive. But they should work well with Logos/Verbum for some time to come. No word yet on whether Onyx will offer smaller

  • Newest Verbum/Logos Android app that works with Android 4.0.4?

Yes, I know, it's an Android dinosaur! And I know that Faithlife doesn't support 4.0.4. Still... I now have an eInk device that runs Android 4.0.4 - but there should be a 4.4 upgrade for it fairly soon, or so we are told. In the meantime - what is the newest version of the Verbum/Logos app that works with 4.0.4? I have Logos 4.3.9 now on that device

  • Re: Best e-ink Reader for Logos?

I happen to have two Android E-Ink devices: a Boyue T63 and an Onyx Boox C67ML Carta 2. Both have six inch displays and run Android 4.2.2. (As of now, the oldest Android version supported by FL is 4.4.) You can get these devices, but only through vendors in Europe and China. Yes, that version of Android is no longer supported by FL. However, Verbum
Mark, I, too, got an extra 3 GB when I updated to the Creator's Update, but it wasn't enough of a gain to get all of my Logos installation on the eMMC. Basically, what I did was install Logos using Method 2 (see the wiki). Before I copied over my existing Data folder to the new installation, I took the Resources folder out

Sorry that you went through all that trouble only to find that running Logos from eMMC wouldn't work for you. But it's great that you are satisfied with its performance from the microSD card. I'm glad that Macrium Reflect was a help

One solution to this issue could be a small Windows tablet. I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855. It has 4 GB of RAM, a 64 GB eMMC internal drive, and an Atom processor. You can install the desktop version of Logos on it. As fast as a laptop/desktop with an i5 processor? Of course not. But everything works, online and offline. Used tablets like this Dell

I upgraded to the Creators Update on my Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855. The upgrade went smoothly, and everything seems to work fine. Once I used Disk Cleanup to remove my old Windows installation, I noticed that I had gained 3 GB of free disk space compared to my old installation. With a 64 GB internal drive, that's significant. I like the new Night Light feature

  • How do you use Logos/Verbum?

One day, I had this idea. You can decide if it's a good one or not. The people who work at Faithlife and everyone else who participates in these forums all see the questions, suggestions, difficulties and bugs that people find while using Logos/Verbum. But how often do we see what people actually do with this software? How does it contribute to our
