Thanks for the updates! I'm considering getting an eReader for Verbum soon, and it's basically between the Boyue T63 and the Onyx C67. Let us know what you end up preferring!
Hi, Fr. Devin, That's easy - the Boyue T63. My main reason for making that recommendation is that the Onyx C67 has a very small user app partition

Yes Mark, it can run Logos. That's the point of it, to run the Android ecosystem with an e-ink screen.
Not all e-Ink Android devices can run Logos (even though in theory they should). We think it's something to do with hardware acceleration, but no-one is really sure.
If you have very big pockets, the massive 13.3" Android e-reader from Good e-Reader will be offering a firmware upgrade to Android 5.0 shortly after release (probably in the next few months).
But can it run Logos? There are several large E-Ink devices that, if you install Logos on them, all you get is a black screen

Speaking of hardware... Another e-ink option has found its way into my hands (with some help from my gadget budget, now depleted for the year). It's the Boyue T63. It has a 6 inch display, 300 dpi, and a microSD card slot. No headphone jack or audio capability. It has physical page turn buttons (they don't work with Logos, sorry). It runs Android 4

The one I had, I could not find. I believe
does it accept 128gb sd card? If not, what is the maximum capacity? thanks
The manual says that the C67 can accept a 32 GB sd card. I have tried a 64 GB card and it worked with no problems. I don't know about a 128 GB card. As far as rooting with a Mac goes, I don't know. I have a Mac, but also run Windows in VMWare

  • Re: So...what would make you buy more books from Logos?

What would encourage me to buy more resources (besides more spending money)? I have invested in Logos/Verbum/FL since the 1990's in order to build up a resource library for Biblical studies and studies in Catholic teaching/tradition. Over the years, I've built up a decent library which has become very useful in many ways. There aren't many more resources

Some e-ink devices can run the current Logos Android app with no issues. Among these are the Boyue T61, T62 & T63, and the Onyx Boox C67ML series. Some e-ink devices can only run an older version of the Logos app (4.3.9). Among these are the Onyx Boox T68 and the Nook Glowlight Plus. One thing you should know: most of these devices run Android 4

I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 that has an x5-Z8500 CPU and 4 GB of RAM. It runs Logos more slowly than a laptop/desktop with an i5 processor, of course, but it's more than adequate for me for reading, searching books or even doing such things as passage guides. I can save the heavy lifting for my laptop. So, my guess is that your YogaBook will run

Here is a Dropbox link to Verbum 5.8.3, for anyone who is interested. By the way, I've found a way to set up my C67ML Carta 2 so that I can download, install and upgrade Logos/Verbum. To do that, I needed to root my device, then create a second partition on my microSD card, and then use Link2SD Plus to move my apps to that second partition, leaving

I have a MacBook Pro (13). In my experience, the most important factor in running Logos well is the speed of your storage. A good SSD is essential. This iMac has that piece. You need at least 8 GB of RAM to run Logos well at present. If you can afford the 16GB, go for it. Macs of all kinds love RAM. The more the merrier. Especially if you multitask
