No, this is an Android app that runs on the Android operating system. The Kindle PW uses a different operating system. The closest you can come, if you have Logos 6 on your desktop or laptop, is that you can send individual resources to your Kindle to read them there.

  • Re: Logos 6.0b (6.0.2.0042) now available

I am running Logos (Verbum) 6 on a MacBook Pro that runs Yosemite. I haven't had the download stalling issue for some time now. Ironically. I am having the download stalling (actually a download loop) trying to install this update, the one that's supposed to fix the problem! Is it possible to download this update from the Logos web site, or in some
With all this excitement about the C.S. Lewis Collection , here's some good recent news: A previously unpublished and unknown letter from C.S. Lewis has been discovered inside a book, and it sheds some new insight on what he meant by the phrase "surprised by joy". http://www.theguardian.com/books/2014/dec/09/unseen-cs-lewis

  • Suggestion: Classics of Western Spirituality "personal bundles"

This suggestion can apply to similar bundles as well. Currently, our options are: to pre-order the whole set, or a pre-Reformation bundle, or a post-Reformation bundle. Well, there are some volumes that I'd love to have, but in each bundle there are some that wouldn't interest me as much. Besides, there's that pesky limited budget! So, could we choose

  • The Ten Commandments by Patrick Miller

This is a fairly recent book (2009) in the Interpretation series. Since Logos has the Interpretation commentary, it might not be hard to get the rights to this gem, written by the author of the Deuteronomy volume in Interpretation. I have only begun it, but it looks excellent, and it would be a superb Logos resource!

Just a quick note - the Afterglow 2 is available through Amazon in the US now. That will save you shipping costs!

  • Re: Woot! It's HERE! C.S. Lewis Collection!!!!

I'm debating this (with myself, of course!). On the one hand, though I have many of these works in print form (as we all probably do), the idea of having them in Logos is very appealing. On the other hand, if you go to Amazon and price these works as Kindle books, leaving out the few you may not be interested in, you could save enough to also add Narnia

  • Re: Thinking of an Android Purchase

Hi, Daniel, Let me add my recommendation for the Nexus 7 (2013). It doesn't have an external microSD card slot, so all memory is internal. You can get the 32 GB version for less from various places, including eBay. You wouldn't have to worry about rooting (unless you wanted to root for other reasons). You would also find the Nexus very capable for other

I have uploaded my Verbum 4.3.9 apk to my Dropbox site. I don't know if it's legit to paste a link here. If it is, I'll do so.

Richard, your problem is NOT atypical. Do a search for "Yosemite" and you will find several threads detailing the very problem you have encountered. I had it too, starting from the infamous "massive update" Logos put out just before L6 was released. The trouble is that no one solution worked for everyone. What worked for me was this: 1) I went to Disk

For what it's worth, I had the same problem with Verbum 4.4.6 on my Boyue T62 device. I installed the Bible! 4.4.6 app and that seemed to fix the problem for Verbum as well.

For those who may be thinking of buying an e-ink device to use with Faithlife apps, let me point out that the Boyue T62 works just fine with 4.4.6 and gives a better overall user experience than the Onyx T68. The Boyue is smaller (6 in. display) but it has more room for apps and data and, with a little tweaking, very good battery life. It also costs

If Faithlife were to do a customer survey, and if in that survey they asked about interest in E-Ink devices, they might be surprised at the level of interest out there. The reverse may also be true. Apps like Logos and Verbum could help sell Android E-Ink devices. Not everyone needs to play Angry Birds or Candy Crush on the same device they use to study

  • Re: Can't login on android

Something similar happens to me, occasionally, on both of my Android devices. I will open the Verbum app and then have to sign in twice. This has happened on both of my devices today. I kept thinking that I must have made a mistake in entering my password, but I have had to do the double login several times over the last couple of days.

  • Re: Bug: mobile device management

I have the same problem with one of my devices. I have a total of three with the Verbum app installed: an iPad mini 2, an Onyx Boox T68 (an E-Ink device running Android 4.04), and a Boyue T62 (an E-Ink device running Android 4.22). My problem here is with the Boyue. It was listed as one of my mobile devices when I first installed Verbum on it. But,

For me, this is a good reminder to root my device and use an app like Titanium Backup. That way, I can easily revert to a previous app version when there is a glitch. I solved my problem. I remembered that I had an sd card I had used in a Kobo Aura HD to run Android with. I got the 4.3.9 app from that, uninstalled from the T68 and reinstalled. Now,
Kevin or Mark, do either of you have any idea of how to roll back my Logos App?
I haven't been able to figure that one out yet. We'd need access to the 4.3.9 app, for one, but I've never tried rolling back before.

I know you folks at Faithlife deal with at least four OS's and several apps, and so you may not be able to put much effort into a "niche" group. But I, for one, will appreciate anything you can do. Now, if Kindle started using Android as their OS (fat chance, I know), wouldn't that be a game-changer?

  • Re: Latest update and E-Ink E-Readers

I have found that my Verbum Android app has worked very well on my E-Ink devices (up until now for the T68!). The only things that Faithlife would need to do to make the app more E-Ink friendly, IMHO, are (1) offer a new "theme" that would make everything look even better in grayscale, and (2) make some change so that the page turn physical buttons

Kevin, that would be a great idea. I have met a number of people online who have purchased Android E-Ink devices (as I have) - and they are NOT easy to find - mainly to read our Logos/Verbum resources, as any Kindle or Kobo or Nook would do for eBooks alone. An E-Ink device is often easier on the eyes. What I don't understand is why one E-Ink eReader
