  • Re: Anyone using Onyx e-ink tablets with the Logos app?

I have an Onyx Boox T68 - runs ICS (Android 4.04), has a 6.8 in screen, resolution is the same as a Kobo Aura HD, eInk as well. A number of people (myself included) have run into issues with bootloops and other problems. I had to return two T68s until I got one that worked well. However, if you don't run into these issues, the T68 is worth considering

  • Re: Onyx Boox T68 eink ereader for Logos books - Questions for other owners

As for a cover, you can order one through Amazon now. I had my own troubles with the T68, having returned two with problems before finding one that works well. There's no way to know what percentage of T68s have had issues, unfortunately. But I find that highlighting works acceptably well for me. For reading, you'd think that the Logos app was designed

Yes, even though I sent a test Logos resource to my KPW2, I can also read it on my Kindle iPad app and Android app. Yes, I was able to copy the book into Calibre on my laptop and then read it on any eInk reader I want!

I also just upgraded the Logos setup on my Windows tablet to the beta. No Kindle option. Trying out the send to Kindle feature was the whole point of this. Any suggestions?

Guess it was a network glitch somewhere along the line. The latest update downloaded properly. Looks like I'm okay now.

  • Re: Not downloading resources.

Thanks for your response. I tried Logos on my Windows tablet. It was able to download the updates, though the downloading paused a few times. I tried power cycling my router. But I'm still on this weird download loop on my Mac. I'll need to leave it for a while and come back later. I'll welcome any ideas.

2465.LogosLogs.Mark.20141002-084420.zip Yes - I had a heck of a time even submitting that last post. The problem is likely with Logos. Edit: I've attached my log file, just in case the problem is with my Mac.

I'm seeing a similar problem this morning. I am running OS X 10.9.5. I've never seen this before. Logos tries to download an update, stops at 40% or 50%, then starts over at 0%, goes part way, then starts over again. Could it be the Logos servers?

  • Re: Can I Read Logos Books on an e-ink reader?

The funny thing is that the T68 works better as a Logos reader than as an eBook reader - or so it seems to me. It also works well on a couple of other apps, like iBreviary. I am curious about the Illumina. It is also sold under the name Boyue T61 or T62. I wonder if anyone has already installed Logos on it. I'm interested in their experiences with it

If you do try the T68, order it from Amazon (if you live in a country where you can do so). Then, if it doesn't work out for you, you can return it at no further cost.

The T68 has two sections of internal memory: one for apps (480MB) and one for data (about 2.3GB). You can store downloaded eBooks on either the second section of internal memory or on a microSD card. The T68 will find them on either. Logos resources get installed on that larger section of internal memory.

  • Re: Can I Read Logos Books on an e-ink reader?

1)Like NB.Mick said, you can export individual resources to read on a Kindle or Nook or Kobo device. 2) Some folks have figured out how to run an older version of Android (Gingerbread) off the SD card on various Kobo devices. If you have a Kobo, this could work. Logos will soon no longer update for Gingerbread, though. 3) I have an Onyx Boox T68. It

  • Re: Preferred Tablets

Having a 13' Retina MacBook Pro, I tend to agree with the last statement! It has plenty of power, and yet is light enough to use comfortably on my lap. For extended reading in my resources, I prefer to use my Onyx Boox T68, an E-Ink eReader that runs Android (4.04). E-Ink is easier on my eyes for longer periods of use. But for more serious study in

I went Mac last November after twenty years on Windows PCs. I have a 13in MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. Late 2013 version, with Retina and i5. I'm very pleased with the overall performance, and I'm not looking back. I agree that a bigger SSD will serve you well in the long run. I had been thinking, back then, of replacing my old laptop

  • Re: Honest Answer: Is there any Android Tablet that can run the full version of Logos 5???

How about the Dell Venue 8 Pro? Yes, it won't be quite as fast as a Surface Pro, but you can get it new for $300 or so. An 8 inch screen, more in line with the size of the Android tablets you're talking about. It runs Windows 8.1 and full Logos 5. I'd recommend the 64gb version if you go that route. You can add on a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse if you

Last November, I bought my first Mac ever - a 13in MacBook Pro, Retina, i5, 8gb RAM, 256 gb SSD - for about $1400 (which is about what a Surface Pro with comparable specs with a Type Cover would cost). Small enough to actually use on one's lap, but more than adequate for Logos and all my other needs. No doubt, a refurbished one would be cheaper. There

FWIW, I have been a Logos user since the 1990's, and have owned a number of devices over the years. The T68 is, hands down, the most comfortable way to read Logos resources. You may have to tap the side of the page twice, or swipe twice, every now and then to turn a page, but that's about the only drawback. The text is very clear. You can adjust the
