  • Bug (5.1): "Reading view" too small in Windows 8

When I click "reading view" using L5.1 on my Windows 8 tablet, the resource displays in a small window, much smaller than the full screen. It worked correctly with L5. It works correctly on my Windows 7 desktop with L5.1. Some Windows 8 bug, seemingly.

  • Feasting on the Word upgrade

The upgrade to FOTW downloaded last night. The reformatted arrangement is SO much easier to read. Thanks to the folks at Logos for doing this, and doing it quickly after it had been originally released!

Well, my problem mysteriously resolved itself. After rebooting two or three times and trying Logos again, without success, I tried the mythical "one more time", and now everything works again!

I'm running L5 on a Windows 8 tablet. I'm on the road, so I don't know if my desktop has the same issue. I have the same problem today. Isn't this weird, that all these people are having the same problem on the same day? How do I send you a Logos log file? I have never had a problem with L5 until today.

  • Re: Using L5 resources for the windows 8 logos app

I have both the desktop software and the app installed on my Windows 8 tablet. I use the desktop L5 for Bible study, and the app for reading. In the app, I download only the book(s) I happen to be reading at the time, and then remove them when I want to read something else. I find that the app is almost ideal for reading. Give the app a few more reading

  • Re: Version 1.0.0.0 available for Bible!

I recently bought an Asus VivoTab Smart, partly for the ability to run the desktop version of Logos on a tablet (which seemed pretty cool to me). Having discovered this app, I plan to use it as well - when all I want to do is read one of my Logos resources. I can do that in this app now, but the one thing I'd like to see soon is a table of contents

  • Re: Kindle Paperwhite with Logos App?

If you mosey on over to the XDA Developers forum, you will find that it's possible to root a Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight (just as good as the Paperwhite). And yes, you can run some apps on it. The problem there is that the Nook runs an older version of Android, 2.1 (known as Éclair). You can run Logos, but it needs to be an older version of the

  • Re: Anyone using an Intel Atom Z2760 powered tablet with Windows 8 and Logos 5?

Agreed. Since this tablet isn't going to be my only computer (not yet), I don't need a huge amount of hard drive space. However, here's another option for those who so. With any Windows 8 tablet, you can make a Recovery disk with a USB key of at least 8 gigs. This is not only a wise backup, but it also allows you to delete the seven gig recovery section

I have about 1300 resources. I needed to download a little over seven gigs when I set up L5. I don't use all those resources, though. Some may go the way of "hidden resources". I will set up a few collections as well, to focus certain types of searches. I haven't used my microsd card yet, and I have about 14 gigs left on my tablet's hard drive.

Since some of you asked about my experiences with the Asus VivoTab Smart and L5, here are my first impressions. Keep in mind that I'm still on a learning curve. Though I have used an iPad and an Android tablet before, this is my first encounter with Windows 8. I've had this VivoTab for only two days, and spent much of my available time downloading Windows

According to the Logos 5 help files, resources you place in Hidden Resources are removed from your hard drive. Check it out! Edit: I confirmed that in Logos 5 help. Simply type in "hidden resources" and look for the question "how do I remove a book from my Library?" Could this be a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing?

When the price of the Asus VivoTab Smart came down to $449, that was my cue to try it. It has a Windows Experience Index rating of 3.1, which is better than I expected. I'm in the process of downloading my resources to it now. in addition to the suggestions to improve performance that people have already posted, let me suggest using the Hidden Resources

  • Re: BUG: Verbum app and news feed

I get regular news on the Verbum Android app which isn't Android-specific. I understand that iOS comes with limitations, but, as others have said, the Bible iOS app has more Logos news. BTW, I got my first bit of Verbum iOS news this evening, welcoming me to Verbum for iOS. This isn't a big deal for me. But I wondered if something was wrong with my

  • Re: Verbum app and news feed

I can't see a way to amend the subject line. But it does seem to be a bug peculiar to the Verbum iOS app. As others have pointed out, the Verbum Android app and the Logos iOS app have the news feed working properly.

  • BUG: Verbum app and news feed

When I use the Verbum app on my Android device, there is a section where I have access to various Logos/Verbum blogs and news. I assume that the "news" section on the home screen of my Verbum iPad app is meant to perform the same function. Or is it? I have never gotten anything on that iPad app news section. Any ideas as to what the problem is? Or is

  • Little bug in ICS

I recently upgraded my tablet to ICS (Android 4.0). I have found one small bug. When I am in Read mode, and I tap on the screen to view the menu frames (or whatever they are called) that come down from the top and up from the bottom, the menu buttons have white horizontal streaks going all the way across them, and that makes the buttons hard to make

An update: I uninstalled 0.9 and then reinstalled it (which means that I must redownload all the resources I want on my tablet), and that seems to have cured my problem. I suspect that some people should uninstall their previous beta before installing 0.9.

  • new 0.9 and passage guide force closes

I just installed the new 0.9 upgrade. It certainly looks nice. However, one bug I found is that when I use passage guide, I get a force close every time I try to open a resource such as a commentary - and I have all those resources on my tablet! I'm running Android 2.3.5.

  • Re: Beta 8 - Passage Guide bug?

I have found one feature that helps me work around the bug. I open my preferred Bible to the desired passage. Then, if I open a commentary on that book of the Bible, the commentary instantly opens to that same passage. I am very pleased and excited about having Logos available on my Android devices! Even as a beta, it's pretty impressive overall. Once
