• Re: OSX Lion 10.7

This is for all mac users running OS X Lion 10.7: I recently (3 days ago) installed Lion. It felt slow when I signed in and slow when I ran programs. After signing in, it took noticeably longer for Lion to load up. I have been disappointed with how slow things felt. Logos at times seemed to perform faster (usually when I did not have much of anything

  • Re: Lion Update for MS Office

I am using the Office '11 for Mac trial version and I just copied and pasted Hebrew text from Genesis 26:5 and this is the first time I have seen MS Office NOT switch the words around completely. In '08, every word has the first and last letters switched completely around every time you copy and paste. In Office '11, it stayed the same. All I had to

I will try to make a PB when I have the time. A video tutorial might help me. I am a visual learner and videos and/or lots of pictures of each step help a great deal, so that would be a suggestion for Logos to do: make video tutorials for PBB. I recently finished completely re-indexing my entire library, and I did some clean-up of my computer using

  • Suggesion: Eerdmans Commentaries on the Dead Sea Scrolls

Logos has one of the two available books in this series. The first one was Liturgical Works by James R. Davila (found here ). My other suggestion is to add to the description of Wisdom Literature by John Kampen that it is part of the Eerdmans Commentaries on the Dead Sea Scrolls series, which is what Eerdmans.com has as part of their description of

If I make a PB, is it recommended that I stick to Public Domain books? If so, where can I find those?

What is Personal Book Builder? This is the first I have heard of it. What is the link for it?

That is strange. Logos is never accessed by any other user, since I am the only user, so that makes no sense.

Yes. I am using a mouse with a scroll wheel. I have been for a while now. I do not see a WD Drive Manager. Where would I see that? And my Macbook is cool. Logos has been running more smoothly lately (freezes a LOT less, especially after closing half of my books), and been using a lot less RAM, so my computer is not running hard at the moment (been thinking

FYI, I CAN go to the manually. I single click on the word so it is brought up in the Information tab, and then I go to BDAG (it being already open) and I can click on the word manually. It went there when I used BDAG, but crashes when I go there through a double-click in NA27. THAT is a strange phenomenon. Would re-indexing help you think?

  • Re: Logos Crashed

I restarted my computer, opened up Logos, and double clicked the word again. BDAG is open and I used it with other words just fine a few minutes before double clicking on that one word in particular. With BDAG already open, I double clicked the same word and this time Logos 4 crashed faster than before the restart. I thought I'd share my logs after

I was in John 1:6 and double clicked on " ἀπεσταλμένος " and Logos 4 Mac crashed. Not sure why. Any help would be nice. I am using Snow Leopard still (10.6.8; 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo; 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM) 71431.Archive.zip .

  • Re: Incorrectly Linked Word

I only have the BHS with WIVU. I think Logos needs to have at least two options of the BHS automatically a part of Logos, since this is NOT the first word that I have found incorrectly linked.

  • Incorrectly Linked Word

In the BHS, in Leviticus 23:34, the word “בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֨ה” is not properly linked. When I double click on it, Logos 4 takes me to “הַ” instead. Also, in the Information Tab, when I try to click HAL at the bottom of “ בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֨ה” it does not take me to the word at all. This needs to be fixed. It should be taking me to “חָמֵשׁ."

  • Re: Logos Crashing When Double Clicking in Greek Words in NA27

So, this is odd: I did what you suggested and cleared my history....all of it. Then I opened up NA27 and double clicked that same word that was causing Logos to crash....well, it crashed. I restarted Logos 4 and tried again. THIS time it did not crash. That was a few hours ago. I tried again just now....no crash. That was a REALLY funky bug. Thanks
Then I tried to go to the lemme ἔχω manually in BDAG, and the moment I clicked on it, Logos 4 crashed. Isn't that funky?
And here is the log files after trying to click on it manually a second time: 86402.Logging.zip
