I am not sure about the pricing, but the best you can do is the Intel Atom based tablets running Windows 8 from Acer, Asus and possibly Samsung. They all come in at the $600 range and might go on sale for Christmas. It still probably would be slower than your laptop.

Hi Mark, That is a good idea. If the motherboard is having an MSATA slot, I am sure you know that your choices for drives are limited. Either way, SSD is the way to go for Windows (especially 7 and 8) and Logos. My machine is really fast for Logos and Windows bootup using an SSD.

Hi Andrew, Yes I would be glad to help if you needed me. And about the tracing back, yes it is very useful and perhaps some Excel gurus here have some ideas on how to do that in a different way. Cheers
-
Ah yes true. That is an annoyance. I can see how that would get irritating fast. The good thing about both 7 and 8 is that they can recognize SSDs and act accordingly, so you will see a definite improvement in performance. For the longest time, the Mac did not have proper support for them until recently.

Dont worry, I am too. Though hopefully it comes out before I finish BBG.

Ya I wanted to get the Sys Theologies. Ah well! Hopefully someone other than Wright wins this year (Carson?) to spread the love and discounts around

These two articles from Moo deal with NPP in quite some detail. http://www.djmoo.com/articles/Justificationin%20Galatians.pdf http://www.djmoo.com/articles/israelandlaw.pdf

Oh oh.... its at 50% now... I have nothing for or against either but Moo is really excellent and Wright won last year.

As consolation, you could go for Witherington on Acts from Round 1 if you dont have it already!

Thanks. I have to confess I have never heard or saw the thread before. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Thanks Lynden. I have the FSB and I use it myself. I am leading this study and our folk are not exactly tech-savvy. I am looking at making handouts from the resources I have in Logos and providing them as resources to them. I think using a survey/textbook will help in providing structure to the classes. At the same time, I can use stuff from other appropriate

I am playing around with the handouts now.

Actually I have Encountering Romans. Got it on the March Madness Sale.

Encountering the New Testament At the end of each book it has Study Questions, a Summary, Key Terms, and a Further Reading list. Edit: And lots of pictures!
If you can afford the whole collection buy it, it'll be cheaper and you'll have

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I have decided to go with many of the options listed here and collate them as necessary for the studies. Prayers needed!
-
Well I guess you two must know each other, or else why the "you can check it out on my ipad..." statement...LOL. Carson and Moo are great. I just bought Encountering Romans and might give sales a call to see how much the encountering collection will come down to now that I own one of the three volumes. May get the collection with

I have to see I availed of the phone opportunity, and got good deals on the Pillar and BECNT series. So it is worth a try.

Thanks Phil.

I got the minimal crossgrade. Great work Logos. It is just so much faster on Windows 8. Out of curiosity, I tried to see what my upgrade price would be now to the Silver package, and behold, it is now more expensive than it was before I got the crossgrade. Has the package been upgraded with more resources?
-
Hi Phil, I wonder if you have any further updates regarding this stemming from your discussion. In Christ, Geo

Hi Naveen, Great to see another South Indian on Logos, though I am now in Canada, so I am Northern on one count. Blessings in Christ, Geo
