Hunter, Sorry - I didn't tag this thread to notify me of responses. I tried to duplicate the "crash" behavior - and it hasn't happened again other than that one day...so...go figure...thus, because I can't repeat, I cannot get an image... FYI - I removed and reloaded Proclaim that day, when this was happening...perhaps somehow my link had corrupted

Well...DUH!!! Boy, I feel silly! Just flat out MISSED that little blue link!!! Thanks, Ann...I had used the background tab to add the picture as a file...it worked...but seemed too....well...silly! It would be nice to manipulate the picture sometimes...but...I guess I can use PPT import if I need to add multiple pictures or add small pictures on a slide

  • Putting a picture on a slide

Is there a simple way to add a picture to an existing slide in Proclaim? At this point, all I have been able to figure out to do is to "import" it as a background. Challenge with this - once it is a background, you cannot manipulate that picture in any way...am I missing something simple?

Tony, Bob, Yesterday was a little smoother - after we actually got Proclaim to sync and update! I had to exit and restart Proclaim 3 times before it would finally sync and add the change we had made to ONE slide!!! We did note a smoother transition time - only had a noticed lag in slide advance 2-3 times during service (73 total slides between Scripture

  • Re: Building Frustration

Bob, We are seeing performance problems across the board - during our "build" time, when we create a show, and during presentation. There is no consistency - ie, this past Sunday, our "slide-flipper", who has 5+ years working with Mediashout, couldn't find the "rythym" to change slides during our song worship. Each slide/verse would change at a different

  • Building Frustration

This is a rather generic post - I am having a lot of difficulty in using Proclaim. We are a small church, with a small network. We use DSL with moderate speed - 3.0Mps upload and download. Our network consists of 4 desktops total, of which only 1 is online when I normally build. On Sundays, the presentation computer is the only one online. The presentation

I have also tried to add an image - just a simple picture I would like to add to a slide. I don't want it as a background - but as an illustration picture. It will add, only in the center, no ability to manipulate it after it is added (relocate it, shift its position, resize it). When I try to add it under the background tab, as suggested earlier in

  • Re: staff collaboration

Bill - you can "test drive" the entire thing without paying...and when you go "on air" there is a watermark over the presentation. However, it will allow you to evaluate the system, and its functionality...and demo it for those who need to "see" to grasp. Yes, collaboration is across-platform - I don't think you even have to name them separately. You

  • Re: New to Proclaim - Concerned about crashes during service

Hunter, Thanks for your reply. Is there a list or site somewhere that discusses known "troublemakers"...apps or components that cause real problems...from some other posts, there appears to be some problems with specific video codex packs...do ya'll have a good handle on which specific ones yet? I loaded the KLite pack, which has multiple codex's..

  • Re: Newbie Questions

Hahaha...guess I will have to watch what I do with my phone!!! For cable issue...we learned from experience...any time you position something "out of reach" - go ahead and run ALL the cables to the input selections...for exactly the reason you mention - so when a cable fails, or even a port...you are ready with a backup...and saves having someone on

OK...this is just COOL!!! New to Proclaim also...so looking forward to this. Am I to understand...could several of us be logged in...say, Worship Leader and Pastor...and both control presentation? Understand there could be "dueling reomotes" problem...but...if WL is controlling songs...then Pastor controllling Bible verses, outline, etc...is that possible

  • New to Proclaim - Concerned about crashes during service

Hello - I am new to Proclaim, just signed up and ordered first year. We are in midst of upgrading the video portion of our services to include song lyric presentation. I am concerned with the number of "crash" reports DURING service I have seen, most seeming due to internet problems... Here is my question...I thought Proclaim "resided" on your computer

  • Re: Multiple OS's - can you BUILD on both Windows and Mac

Thanks Mike - you got the gist of what I was asking...still trying to wrap my head around how to make Proclaim work the best for us. I was fairly well versed in Media Shout, but am looking for something "better" for the current situation...I like that you can build from anywhere, and was hoping that meant any platform - and that it would not matter

  • Multiple OS's - can you BUILD on both Windows and Mac

OK...another intro/silly question - can you have miltiple OS's - ie - can I use WIN while worship uses Mac, to work same presentation...or...can I build on a WIN platform but use a MAC for presentation? And...can we do this at the "same" time - ie, can multiple people have access to that script at the same time for purposes of interaction? I know these

  • Re: Inporting already purchased backgrounds, clipart, video

Thanks Hunter...I figured it had to be something simple...have you been using Proclaim long, or are you one of the Proclaim staff? I am consideirng moving to Proclaim from Mediashout...trying to see if it will fulfill our needs. I am slightly concerned as to what happens if our wireless goes down, or we lose our DSL during a service...is there still

  • Inporting already purchased backgrounds, clipart, video

OK...I am new to Proclaim, and am previewing it for possible use at our church. However - am I missing something - I cannot inport any of the media we already have purchased? We have a fairly extensive library of clipart, images, backgrounds, and video clips from multiple sources (Bluefish, Sermon Central, Sermon Spice, etc). Am I just missing something
