7774.Logos Log Files.zip I can duplicate the crash on Windows 7 latest build of L4. Attached logs. PBB log shows fatal error. Haven't examined it beyond that yet.

I imagine it would/should also be the case when the app downloads updates to currently installed resources. BTW, I'm not sure I completely agree with the new change where it doesn't download unless there is wifi, assuming that it is still an all automatic process. My problem with either implementation is it doesn't give the user a choice or--more importantly

This continues to fail on my Nexus 7. However, when I try it on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus it works fine. ?!?!

  • Library unresponsive

This one took a long while to figure out how to reproduce. After the following sequence, I can no longer open a resournce from the library. The library shows up. I can scroll through the list. Search. Etc. But when I tap a resource it will not load. It shows the animation of the "button" press, but it does nothing. No error. No lockup. Just won't open

I absolutely love Logos. I think the search tool is very powerful and tremendously useful, though maybe not as flexible as it could be. There is always room to improve and usually some quick and dirty ways around it (esp since natural language search is so complicated and still rather in its infancy). Here are a few suggestions I would make that would

  • Navigation Failed: An unknown error occured opening resource

I get this error in "How to read the Bible for all its worth (3rd ed.)", page 36, when clicking either of the links to the EBC v1. It works fine on the PC Desktop or iPod Touch. Other links that I've tried so far in this resource do seem to work. I have also verifed that I can open EBC v1 on Android and manually find my way to the referred to articles

BTW, what is the "Journal" PBB type listed in the wiki? Personal journal or magazine journal? I don't find any info. Seems like these sermon files would be good for keeping a bible study journal. I like the idea of a journal with tags, passages, date indexed, etc. What does Notes offer that is better?
Is there a step by step guide of how to format and create a sermon file? I tried looking in the Wiki but could not find one. I did not use the Sermon File Addin in Logos 3, but think I might use it in Logos 4.

Is this instruction as to where the table goes "intuitive" or has it been provided someplace

Well, maybe not even immediately after. Both of the below work. But it doesn't work if the table is before the heading. 40 th Anniversary of “Sunday Evening in the Park” Sponsored by the Dresden and District Christian Ministerial Association Sunday Evening, July 29, 2012, 7:00 p.m. ------------- OR ------------- 40 th Anniversary of “Sunday Evening

If you move the tables to immediately after the heading, it works. The heading directly above the table becomes the link in the index.

http://www.bible-study-tools.org/bible-commentary-format-and-content.html This is the first result from Google when I searched on the basic title of this post: "types of bible commentary" ;) I'm bad about doing this. I worked most of an hour last night trying to figure out something that had already been answered before. All I had to do was search.
BUT Mine do not. [Only the first listed document has working Index hyper-links.] I have not yet figured out why. EDIT: when I put 2 sermons into each of 2 documents (as you have done) the Index "scrambles" the hyper-links. Some hyperlinks are not "live" while others are listed in the index with the "wrong" choice of sermon. I am

Didn't know about the , but that didn't have any effect, even after restarting Logos. Here's a quick screen cap. It's actually seems to be moving a bit faster this time during the first couple resizes, but slows down more like what I've been seeing during the maximize/restore near the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2aewj3cDeA

  • Home page slowdown

This is subjective as I can't compare and didn't really take notice before upgrading the beta, but it seem the home screen is much much slower to redraw when resizing the window or maximizing/restoring. Does anyone else notice this? My system is a fairly new Dell XPS 8300 with a core i7, 12GB Ram, ATI Radeon 6800 w/ 1GB RAM. When I drag out the corner
[Warning] Failed to interpret width value: 0pt
This has something to do with the table formatting. Haven't really tried to figure it out. But if you delete one row from a table you will see the count of these errors drop by 2. One error for each cell of the table. It seems harmless. I've seen it in every build. [quote

Ah, I had not tried it yet using multiple files, but I'm not sure I follow. When you mention hyperlinks are you talking about the table of contents on the left hand side or the the ones in the index? I broke the file into two files and it still seems to produce the same output: 1033.Sermons by the Fount.docx 5810.Sermons by the Fount2.docx

The searching is the part I'm not sure of. The headings can be organized any way you like afaict. Here's one more version that I was playing with earlier: 2158.Sermons by the Fount.docx It uses Heading 1 (H1) to identify series, and H2 to for individual "sermons" (this is useful for much much more than sermons, I think). Then lower heading can be used
