• Re: Using Dictionary on the Andriod

You're right. I was too brief in my reply. For non-bibles this does bring up the prioritized dictionary (COED here). For bible texts it only brings up a few lexicons. Unfortunately, it doesn't yet have the functionality to look up words in your preferred bible dictionaries (eg. EBD, ISBE, AYBD) or topicals. This is probably my most wished for feature
Would love to see eventually a addition that would allow payment plans to include a way that you can make a payment online if you want to pay it down quicker if that person so chooses so they don't have to call in. • Re: Using Dictionary on the Andriod

Unfortunately, that is all that's available at the moment. The android app is relatively new/young yet. This is one of my most wished for features for android/iOS. Simple *offline* keyword lookup in encyclopedias, dictionaries, and topicals. It should be a relatively easy and non-resource intensive feature to add. However, I do understand that they

  • Re: Question about getting a list

Which base package do you have? Typing "Holy Spirit" in the library gives a few books about the Holy Spirit. Also, doing a search for "Holy Spirit" and looking at the Topic section gives a lot of good resources. If you're just looking for quick n dirty lists, two resources are New Topical Textbook and Willmington's Book of Bible Lists. They each contain

Here's another one announced today that I've been looking forward to: http://www.asus.com/vivo/en/transformerBook.htm I especially like this one. Detachable. Good screen. Good Processor. SSD in the tablet with and HD in the dock. Only thing I'm not sure about is the 4GB Ram. It doesn't yet show any other options for increasing that. I'd like to get

  • Re: Windows 8 announcement today...

I don't think anyone has said definitively yet. I suspect the RT version will only be an app though because most of the RT tablets I've looked at are limited in RAM and generally run on slower processors. Personally, I've been thinking strongly about one of the hybrids. My sole reason for getting one will be running Logos, and I don't think it will

  • Re: Lexham Bible Guide: Ephesians

I haven't had a chance to read it yet, so I must reserve judgement. I'm sure that the authors and editor have worked hard on it. I am eagerly looking forward to reading it through. I did skim through it several times, and like many, the first thing I noticed was references to a lot of commentaries that I don't have. That in itself is not a bad thing

  • Re: page turning

Scrolling doesn't really work as well in practice on touch devices. I've had the experience in some apps where, trying to select an item in a list, I accidently did a tiny flick that scrolled many pages from where I was. And it's a pain to find a certain spot while scrolling a long document. Logos / Kindle / Google style paging gives better control

  • BUG: Repeatable - Crash accessing resource tab menu

While browsing the new LBG:Ephesians, I click on a resource that I do not have which opens a new resource window titled, "Open Resource" with the text: "You don't have a license to view this resource, but you coud...". If I click the resource tab menu in the upper left corner, Logos crashes. This does not happen in later versions. 6153.Logos Log Files
Deleting any one of these will rebuild the Index - it is safe but only necessary when you have a problem connected directly to the Index files.
I apologize for that heavy-handed advice. I saw that the initial error seemed to occur when indexing, so I assumed that the index was corrupt. I did see the references to KeyLinkManager

It looks like maybe something was corrupted during indexing. I looked all over for information on a way to tell Logos to rebuild the index when you can't start Logos itself, but I don't see anything. Maybe someone here knows or Logos could tell us. Because I like to tempt fate and do crazy stuff every once in awhile, I did some surgery on my Logos directory

  • Re: Kindle Fire HD or Google Nexus 7--how well do they work with Logos/Vyrso?

Rumors are the slimmer 32GB Nexus will come in at the same price as the "older" 16GB. Rumors also say 10" coming, price unknown; and a $99 version, specs unknown - possibly subsidized through mobile carrier. And I suspect they would drop the price on the 16GB to $200, but that's speculation. So possibly worth the wait. I jumped at the 16GB when they

  • Re: LOGOS 5

I imagine there were a few that snagged it that day. Alpha 5 now. New features are unavailable without new/updated resources so no reason for folks to go crazy about a little slip that didn't reveal much. And I imagine, it's somewhat unethical for any who did to discuss it.

  • Re: Contents

It is against the law to copy the entire contents of a book, in most cases. You can quote shorter extracts. Otherwise, you will need to contact the author of the work for larger extracts.

Beautiful. I was under the impression from previous posts that Logos was "waiting to see" on Windows RT, that you were only proceeding with standard Window 8. I'm curious as to whether the RT version would be an applet or the full desktop version. Either way, Great news!

  • Re: DEVELOPERS PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Devotionals on the homepage would be nice!

I believe it's intended to that way. Like a newspaper. There's only so much you can put on the front page. You have to abbreviate the stories and let the user turn the page to read the stories they're interested in instead of having the user flip through 2 dozen pages to find something interesting.
