• Re: Highlighting
Is there a way to highlight text in Logos4 without having to add a note citation?
And conversely, I notice that when I add a note to my preferred Bible, it highlights the selection. If I want the highlighting in another color, or no highlighting at all, just the note, how do I accomplish that? Thanks! Esther

  • How to keep from losing a layout on crash?

I had spent about an hour working up my own solution to the missing prayer list, had made some significant progress and needed to know about highlighting. I clicked on the help, did a search for highlighting, and the whole thing crashed. I didn't worry, because I knew that L4 was saving my layouts conscientiously. However, when I brought the program

  • Re: Video on the uses of Notes?

After watching them, I do concede that they are quite simple. They do help explain the basic intention for notes. But as Mark so cleverly showed us (and with such a great accent, too ), there is a lot more that can be done with Notes, Clippings, and Favorites. I notice there is no video explaining favorites. Perhaps this was a tool in L3 that I never

I'd appreciate an overview of using notes
This may not be exactly what you want, but Mark Barnes recently created a video on sermon prep in 2 parts. Part 2 covers notes and clippings. I thought it was very instructive. The notes stuff starts about halfway in, after a section on 'brainstorming

  • Video on the uses of Notes?

I posted this request over on the wiki, but also wanted to put it out there for all you inveterate video producers... I am not a power user like a lot of you, but feel that I could use Notes to do some very helpful things. I don't really understand how the Notes in L4 work, and there isn't an official video explaining it. Maybe it seems too simple,

  • Re: I really miss my prayer list

JR, if you look , prayer lists are on the list of things L4 will eventually have, and not too far in the future. The prayer list function in L3 was nice, but didn't really fit the way I pray and use prayer lists. I do not know how it will be set up in L4, but I think with L4 I may be able to set it up to better enhance my unique prayer life. I have

  • Re: Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary Timeline

You are right...I didn't realize that I was looking at the timelines for the other resource...The Holman Book of Biblical Charts, Maps and Reconstructions. These are much better. When I clicked on the Holman Bible Handbook, they are still unreadable. Sorry. Logos??? You are listening, yes? Esther

  • Re: Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary Timeline

I don't know if it has been fixed in the bible study layout view, but this morning I watched the video about timelines, tried typing in "timeline" in the command bar, and brought up the Holman timeline images just fine: large, good focus, even in a floating window. Hope that helps. Just type "timeline" in the command bar instead of trying to go through
I wans't that familiar with the Reading Plan in L3 but I really like the one in L4. There have been a few complaints that it marks the start/stop of your reading chunks in awkward places; ie, between sentences. But for me it is great.
Thanks very much for your answer! I don't think I'd mind the start/stopping mid

  • L4 Bible Reading plan?

I am considering the upgrade to L4, and wanted to know: I noticed that one can set up not only a Bible reading plan but book reading plans also. Is the new Bible Reading Plan in L4 more flexible? I can't make the one in L3 do what I want, it's too structure. besiderself
I'm already thinking about using this tool/magazine as a ministry to get others more interested in studying Scripture, like for example the two young boys I've prayed for over the last 5 years who came to receive Christ not too long ago and are hungry to be in the word. It's also a great coffee table item for guests to pickup

Just a few random thoughts, Mr. Jones--I totally sympathize with you. I have been on many forums. On a majority of them, these types of "misdeeds" are moderated. Do we have moderators on this forum? That is, not just people who have that title, but who check in frequently, watch over each posting, and correct or delete those posts that violate terms
