    Yes... i did do an upload via paper clip, but i think i made a mistake. Still learning. as to your other question, yes I had created the series and have been trying to figure out how to undo it. Glad to know it is not just me. Thanks!

  • BUG: Help Please: Repeating Series in "Series List in Library"

    In my library, when I want to limited the search from all resources to my collections or series, I am seeing that some of my "series" are repeating. How do I fix this? They pull up the same results. I am attaching a screen shot.

    Hi Dan, I ran this and then tried running Logos again. That was not the issue. The repair permissions fixed something that mainly had to do with printers from what i could see. I then went and started the logging app, set it to Logging Enabled, and started Logos. Nothing... same as before. Says it is signing in and then disappears. So i had to go back

    I didn't realize it, but the tool above is for windows. I am on a Mac. I will keep looking around.

    Latest Update: First thank you to all that have given me some advice and guidance. Here is where i am today. I was not sure when I was told to delete from my resource folder where that was. So then i started thinking based on this, as well as the comment about if they had been hidden if perhaps i should "hide" all the titles again, and then unhide them

    A poster said that for some people the utility is causing the issue. He suggested how to fix this, which worked like a charm in getting Logos to start. It now does not help me to log for the original problem. Any thoughts? See link to post above to see what he told me.

    YOU ARE THE MAN! That was it. i turned on the utility, set Logging to disabled and then started Logos. Voila! It worked just fine in terms of starting. it doesn't fix the original issue I was trying to solve when i was told to turn on logging. So how do I log the actual issue i was trying to fix if logging isn't working? Any ideas? AND thanks for that

    OK.. followed the directions and created a new post with the log. Crash/Hang: Logos 6 is not opening. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! This is about just getting it started again!

    2451.LogosLogs.ABC123.20141129-192827.zip When I try to open the app, the SIGN IN page opens up. Then it disappears. I get the the little blue Logos icon in the top Mac Menu Bar. It last for about 30 seconds. If you hover over it says "Logos Is preparing your library, step 1 of 3," then it too disappears.

    By the way... before my issue with not starting, I had checked to make there were no hidden resources. I did not have anything in that box at all. Good thought though. I thought that might have been the issue too.

    I am now seriously banging my head. So I have been on and off my laptop all day long. I see the emails from you guys (And thank you for your willingness to help). I go to start the log process. I download the Logos Logging Utility and go to start Logos. It starts to Start, the sign-in comes on and then disappear. in the top menu bar the little Logos

    It appears that these are the only items missing. I am now showing over 1000 resources in my library. Without having done a systematic check on every single one, it seems that the ones I have spot checked are there except for the items in what i am calling the "islamic collection." Those are listed in library, but as I said when i click on them i get

    So overnight it downloaded all 4GB. However the resources that were missing last night, are still missing. However I think i have a few more details... I bought the Islamic Collection some time ago and it downloaded fine. A few days ago in Logos 5 i created my own subset of this as a collection. It is all of those books that are now missing form my

    Umm yes.. that is working. Says it is downloading 4.07GB. So I think I was missing a few things! Wow. So sometime next week i should be good! Thanks again!

    Thank you. I had closed and reopened it a few times, but did not know about the command. It now says in lower right hand "Checking for updates..." We will see what it does!

    Yes I have. I also read several other posts. And followed all of them, including changing (or more or less deleting) wifi configurations on my Mac. Things went a little faster, but it is still a kluge way of doing things. I have also run into another issue in that several of my titles that i originally had are no longer in my library. Let me explain: 1) i am not even sure that I have all of the resources I am supposed to have listed.     I am really struggling to understand the process that Logos uses for updating content and the system. I got tired of waiting for it to download Logos 6 via Logos 5 as my email told me to do when I purchased 6. So i just downloaded 6 straight from the website and ran the dmg there. It downloaded super fast and upgraded me no problems. Now it is trying
