  • Crash with latest beta update

Logos crashes whenever I try to jump from OT to NT or vice versa, depending on which layout I open. It makes the jump successfully, but crashes after about 3 seconds. Logos Bible Software 8.9 Beta 38.9.0.0014(Update channel: beta)

  • Re: Quick question about Maps

I agree. The overlay is VERY annoying. It makes trying to navigate or display the maps almost not worth the effort! Bring back the old version which displayed alternative maps across the bottom of the screen.

  • Sermon searches

I've looked without success for an answer to the question, "Why do some of the sermons in my Logos library not appear when I perform a guide search?" As an example, the sermons of Jonathan Edwards which are included in The Works of Jonathan Edwards (Vol 2) do not appear in guide searches.

  • Re: Biblical Places Maps

Thanks, John, that's what I was looking for. In Logos 6 the slider (or C+/-) apparently sometimes controls the overlay/inset and sometimes controls the map, but this restores the type of functionality I was accustomed to in Logos 5. I'll get the hang of it.

  • Re: Biblical Places Maps

Thanks, Mark. But the Biblical Places maps serve my needs much better. The new overlays are much larger than those in Logos 5 and obstruct the actual maps.

  • [ACK] BUG: Biblical Places Maps

When using the Biblical Places maps, the "shadow" (translucent overlay) map gets in the way. Is there a way to disable or minimize this feature?

  • Re: Flashcards for Hebrew vocabulary (Seow)

Good news/bad news. Libronix (Logos3) had this capability (and included Seow's word lists). Unfortunately, this feature is not yet (to my knowledge) available in Logos4. Maybe you know someone who has Libronix.

  • Re: changing font or display size

Thanks, Mark. It's a cumbersome work-around but it works, at least on panels set at default sizes (not on others). Maybe those of us devoted to the keyboard can get a keystroke sequence soon. I'll keep waiting and watching.

  • changing font or display size

I last raised this issue in Dec 2009, but I still haven't heard or discovered anything. Are there (or has anyone found) keystrokes to change the font or display size without going to the drop down menu (alt+ -)? In Libronix, I could increase/decrease the font/display size in a window as quickly as I could click ctrl+shift+ . I loved this feature and

  • Re: L3 nostalgia

I REALLY appreciate the speed of L4's searching, the wonderful maps features, and a host of other new items. BUT, I really miss (almost desparately) the ability to almost instantaneously flip/toggle through various parallel resources (or, even bringing up the list of parallel resources which can take an unbelievable amount of time in L4) . The absence

  • Re: Repeatable Crash: Opening Biblical People

Thanks, Richard. On my first attempt (by clicking on the title listed in Passage Guide), the program crashed again. On my second attempt, I clicked on an image appearing the in Passage Guide, AND IT WORKED! To confirm the process, I re-opened Places from the search bar. It worked. Then I re-entered "Samaria" and choose the first option ("captial of
