  • Re: Erratic highlighting display

-Happens with any type of layout invocation I use. -Problem persists regardless. -I'm using the pane button that displays at bottom. But I've found lots of ways to immediately force highlighting to display--adding a new highlight being the first way I discovered, which was annoying because I found new highlight I wanted to add was in fact already there

I tried that, and it seemed to make things better with the layout I had been using (NIV and ESV in separate panels). When I put NIV and ESV back into a "multiple resources" layout as I prefer, I got some of the same old immediate highlighting in one version (NIV) while the ESV highlighting didn't show up after waiting several minutes. But, then when

Update: I've been experimenting some more, and have found that even when I don't have both NIV84 and ESV in the same "multiple resources" panel, the erratic highlighting behavior occurs. This morning starting my Bible reading I have NIV84 and ESV in separate panels, and highlighting showed up in NIV but not in ESV (until I forced it to show up by clicking

Yes, that is what I see for that resource.

Some new behavior I noted: when I start the app with ESV and NIV84 opening in separate panes, highlighting shows up as it should immediately in both (see first screenshot). When I start app with ESV and NIV84 opening in same "multiple resources" pane, the goofy behavior occurs (no highlighting in NIV84 unless I click button). So apparently this may

Turn the other two note documents off within both resources. DO you know how to do that? Then, restart and see if your results are the same. Results of turning off the other two (smaller) note documents: no effect. Results are the same. I turned off one, then the other (independently), then both, and in no case did NIV84 highlighting show up on restart

...but you have to wait some time, right? I mean, you can't start the app and 5 seconds later click the button to get them to show, can you? I don't have to wait any time to force the highlights to show up. As soon as I start the app, I can immediately click the button & they show up immediately. There is no appreciable delay. That's what I do every

  • Re: Erratic highlighting display

JT, I have three documents related to highlighting: "Highlighter pens", with 213 pages if I printed it; "Highlight", with 13 pages; and "Emphasis markup", with 10 pages. Both the highlighting that immediately shows up in my ESV panel, and the highlighting that does NOT show up on NIV84 are almost always contained in the same "Highlighter pens" note

Dave -- no difference when I start up with a clean interface & load individually from there into separate panels. I wondered as well if the amount of highlighting I've done over the years was a factor, but I think not: if it was a factor, I expect I wouldn't be able to instantly bring up the highlighting with a click. And the highlighting that DOES

  • Erratic highlighting display

For more than a year now, I've noticed already-existing highlighting in various resources often doesn't show up unless I do something to force it -- like clicking the "Interlinear" button. My daily experience: I open Logos with a layout that includes ESV, ESV Study Bible, and NIV84 in a Multiple Resource window. Both the ESV and NIV84 have many years

1 - how do I create a new thread & not lose all discussion to this point? 2 - what do you mean by "post logs" & the reference to your signature line?

They all have SSDs. And I should also note: this isn't something that gradually got slower over time. Everything was working great, then at some point (not sure if it was right after a version upgrade etc. but I think it's been more than a year now) it began exhibiting its current behavior. Other info: I have a 100mb/s Internet connection, so that's

JT, I found the notes documents. I appear to have three documents related to highlighting: "Highlighter pens", with 213 pages if I printed it; "Highlight", with 13 pages; and "Emphasis markup", with 10 pages. Not sure how those three files came into use. I've been using the software for a long time, something like 13-14 years. I can tell you I have

I don't know what note documents are, so apparently I'm using defaults. I have no idea how many pages would print -- how do I judge that? I'm using v 7.12.0.0035, following is a screenshot of the About info. As for computer: I have a desktop (home-made) and two laptops. All are running latest Windows 10. The newest laptop is a very new Dell XPS 13 2

I accidentally did a quick reply (which doesn't show up in the blog record?), so I'm repeating here. 95% of highlights were made on desktop, but some on mobile. Yes, if I wait a few minutes (sometimes more like 4-5 minutes), the highlighting usually does show up. Which is worthless, when I'm in my morning rush. So I revert to the click/unclick forcing

Philana, sorry for my late response, I didn't realize you had responded. To answer your question: I mostly make highlights on desktop (probably 95%), but occasionally on mobile app. And yes, if I wait a "few" minutes (sometimes more like 4-5 minutes), they do usually show up. Here's the kicker: if I'm doing my Bible reading and force the highlights

Philana, highlighting hasn't worked reliably for me for a long time. I've reported the problem but heard nothing back. Symptoms: when I start Logos every morning (now on v. 7.5.0.0045), a few resources automatically open (ESV, ESV Study Bible, and NIV). On first opening, highlighting that I know already exists in those resources doesn't show up. I can

Happening to me as well, W10, Office (PPT) 2013 locally installed, now running Logos 7.4. Seems like this has been happening for years to me...a long time, in any case.

This happens to me as well. Windows 10, Office 2013 (local copy), Logos 7.4, and unless I start Powerpoint before doing the "Send to", I get a big grey oval in Powerpoint. If I start PPT first, everything works perfectly. Has been happening for a long time (I believe predates Logos v7).
