That was an Easter Egg in a previous version of Logos (Logos 4). It no longer exists.
Ah! So that's what he meant. Thank you so much, Levi, for explaining. Gotta love your name, by the way. I think the Levitical Offerings are one of the most fascinating subjects in Scripture. Blessings.
That is done by using the "Quote" option" in the forum editor. Very useful to show exactly what is being responded to.
Okay, now let's see if I did that correctly. LOL Truth be told, Mr. Criddle, I've been using the "Quick Reply" link, and that doesn't have the quote feature. What I meant, though, was that I don

Thank you so much, Mr. Criddle! Good to know someone else was thinking the same thing. Gotta love the way he put that text in a pane with a picture background, and gave the text a 3-D dimension! And now I know about Ctrl-Shift-I. You always come up with wonderful responses to my forum questions, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Salute

  • Please bring these forward from Logos 7...

Howdy from Texas! I almost immediately took the plunge into Logos 8, but am disappointed that some of the things I used each day in Logos 7 no longer belong to the software. One item you're already changing is a way to customize what is seen on the Home Page (under what is now called the "Explore" section). Bravo! What I miss desperately is the Home

Wow! Just wow! Thank you, Mr. Fidel! I won't be able to work on this until sometime in the next couple of days. I want to give it serious time devotion. But I am so grateful that you took time out on Super Bowl Sunday to answer this. Blessings to you and yours! Paul

  • Question for, perhaps, Morris Proctor...

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! While I hope no one answers this on a Sunday, especially this one, I thought I'd submit it, in case Mr. Proctor would be interested in writing an article showing us the steps involved. I just yesterday purchased Select Works of Josephus (8 volumes), and did so because it has the Greek Texts. I wanted them to go with my Philo

  • Re: Timeline Filter: more than one name at a time...

Hi Mr. Criddle, Thank you for the suggestion. What happens is that there are some events that occur later in history regarding a document that has to do with Esther. Thus, when you select "show all events," or simply just Esther and Ezra, those later events get included. I did exactly as you recommended, and the software changed the dates to what you

Okay, thank you both so much. Attached is the graphic. I had the wrong graphic in a previous reply, and then deleted the reply. The mouse wheel! I'd never had occasion to use it before. As Gomer Pyle would say: "GawwwLLLeeeee!" heh

Okay, thank you, Andrew. Attached is my screen shot. The mouse wheel!!! Amazing! Have never had occasion to use that before. As Gomer Pyle would say: "GawwwLeee!" heh Just incredible!

Oh, Wow! Hate to sound like a teenager, but just Wow! I tried semicolon, and the use of AND as an operator. But comma it was! :-) And thank you for teaching me about the various zoom, "all events," etc. It appears that M.J. has a wide screen monitor. The graphic includes a summary that mine doesn't have, in which it shows the beginning and end of Ezra

  • Timeline Filter: more than one name at a time...

Howdy from Texas, I'm reading one of Lynn Austin's books, "Keepers of the Covenant," in Logos, and notice that she draws together Queen Esther and the prophet Ezra in her narrative. I blush to say that, at 70 years of age, I did not know the two were coterminous. So I went to the Timeline, and filtered on "Ezra." What I wanted to do was see all of the

  • Re: MS 4.7.1 Update wipes out Font Choice...

I came back to thank Mr. Grainger for his post with the Microsoft link, and to verify that following the steps he pointed to works. I now have my Times New Roman font back! :-) You know, this little incident was a graphic reminder (pun intended) of how powerful Logos is (compared to other software). To have our choice of fonts, and so many of them.

Thank you, Mr. Grainger. For what it's worth, I did just do Windows Update on my Laptop, and did *not* download that particular one. And then I updated Logos, and the fonts work just fine. So your analysis is right on target, no doubt. Um, since y'all have a connection with Microsoft, are you planning to let them know about this? If we call, they may

Sorry for the double entry above. The first one didn't post on the page after submitting, so I wrote the second and it did. Now both appear. I have to acknowledge, after reading posts from Andrew BN, that I'm using 64-bit Windows. My Layouts, personally designed, do work. Thanks.

  • Re: MS 4.7.1 Update wipes out Font Choice...

I can verify that the issue is with Microsoft .Net update. Yesterday, before downloading 7.12, and after updating .Net, the font was an issue. I thought maybe the download would correct that. But it didn't. Also, I too am using Windows 7, SP1. Paul

  • Re: MS 4.7.1 Update wipes out Font Choice...

Philana, I can verify that the font issue is a direct result of the MS .Net update to 4.7.1. When I opened Logos before downloading 7.12, the font was changed. And I will echo that I also have Windows 7 SP 1. Paul

  • MS 4.7.1 Update wipes out Font Choice...

Howdy, Yesterday afternoon I chose to install the .NET Framework 4.7.1 with Windows updates, and now when I opened Logos in the wee hours this morning, the fonts are off...and you can't make a choice as to Default Font. The graphic attached shows the empty choice slot that comes up when you try. I right-clicked on the "Installed Windows Update" list

Thank you, Mr. Durfey. If I may, I'd like to mention the results in my own software, after trying your suggestion. In a Bible with interlinear (in my case, NASB 95, which is my default Bible), the white space is too near something of note, so the information window responds to whatever is near that white space. But ... in a historical novel, however
