This would be a very helpful feaure to add to the web app (nudge nudge wink wink Development Team).

  • Set a target for Bible hyperlinks

Is there a way to set a "target" for Bible hyperlinks, like you can in the actual Logos application? This would be hugely helpful. As it is, every time I click on a hyperlink (cross reference), the same Bible tab that I am reading from jumps to the new location. I would very much prefer it jump to the cross reference in another Bible tab so my main

  • Set the target for hyperlinks

Is there a way to set the "target" for hyperlinks? In other words, specify a window for where all cross-reference hyperlinks will be opened? As it is now, every hyperlink I click on opens a new window. In the desktop application, I can set the target window so the cross references and such all use the same window.

Thanks for the link to the openbible.info site. A lot of interesting stuff there. I don't remember running across that site before.

    Here is an example just from work I was doing today, where I would have liked to have been able to put what I wanted on a map, plot travel paths, rather than straight line distances between two points, get elevation data, and export map overlays: I wanted to: 1) Compare OT Jericho and NT Jericho locations; 2) Figure the travel time from Jericho to Jerusalem;

"If there is sufficient interest"? Of course there is sufficient interest. I want it all! :-) That is part of what I find a little frustrating about the Atlas at the moment... I know all of this great data is there, but I have no way to get to it, or export it in a usable way.

Thank you for the reply, Bob. (I remember that ability in the early versions of Logos too, and have always really missed it. Kept thinking you were going to add it back in eventually, but that day has never come. LOL) The minimalist background sounds like a good possibility. I would prefer it to be without any labels/towns etc. of any kind. Then I could

  • Re: Text selecting is too aggressive

I know... never satisfied... but I wish there was a "medium" setting on the text selection. Selecting whole words, but not the phrases and paragraphs. That is too much. "Baby bear's is just right." ;-)

  • Text selecting is too aggressive

Is there an option for turning the text selection "AI" off, or tone it down or something? When selecting text, to highlight something or to copy it, the selection algorithm being used in V6 will automatically select the entire paragraph if I drag from a location in one paragraph and into the next paragraph. That is too "aggressive." I appreciate it

I didn't realize that what I was looking for was so "high-end," since all of these features were present in the Accordance Atlas almost 15 years ago, a little $40 add-on module. I continue to hope.

I'm familiar with Biblemapper. Sorry. That is some ugly looking stuff. Not nearly good enough. The best thing I have come across for doing what I am looking for is the atlas feature in Accordance. And, I have been using Logos since V3, so I am familiar with the maps from V4 and 5. "These are not the droids I'm looking for." Thanks.

That would be great, but I have my doubts. I have been waiting for years for Logos to create a useful map/atlas module. What they are probably going to address is the "slowness," which is the least of the issues. What I really want to see are some genuinely useful features for me to use it as a teaching tool, like: -Ability to add and remove towns/cities

  • Maps/Atlas are a huge disappointment

There is so much to like about Logos 6. But, I continue to be shocked at how lame the maps and "the new atlas feature" are in Logos. The atlas is clumsy to work with and unbelievably slow. My hard drive grinds away as it continually pulls down all of the "terabytes" of data, that I am supposed to be impressed by, as I try to scroll around and zoom in

[quote user="JoshInRI"] I bought the original suface. Its hot, fan runs often despite trying to fiddle with the power controls, and doing very little winds down the battery...sigh. I have a Surface Pro, and its headphone jack is kind of wonky too. I thought it was broken, but in actuality it is just very sensitive about how/where the headphone jack is plugged into it. I have to be very careful to not plug the jack in too far. There is a sweet spot that I have to hit with it that is a "detent" a bit less than "all the way in until

  • Re: Which non-surface non-rt Tablet will run Logos 5.0 for under $600 this HOLY-day season?

Agreed. But the specs they recommend now are so high that it creates unnecessary worries for people who think they need a NASA class mainframe to run Logos.

The recommended specs by Logos are a bit inflated in my opinion, especially on the RAM requirement. I'm not sure how they come up with those specs but I have never come close to needing what they state, and I use Logos almost daily with a dozen or more synced windows open at the same time. For example, I run Logos 5 all of the time on a machine with
