I had a try at that Dave... hence being confused by the bug. Hopefully someone from Logos swings by this thread and mentions if this issue is on their radar or not... MJ. Smith - haha, it was a bit of a gaming reference. In the game, the lawyers yell things like ‘objection!’ all the time... and all-caps are often seen as yelling on the internet

MJ. Smith, have you been playing too much Phoenix Wright lately or what? I see you like to lead with some hard hitting all-caps! :) As mentioned, I’m just a guy who doesn’t want to see the apocryphal works (or whatever you want to call them) in a fuzzy search by default. It doesn’t matter why, beyond understanding there are many people

That's the link I was referring to at the start of the thread. It sounds like it's sitting at the very bottom of the, "who knows what will happen with these ideas" list, if it's even on there. It can't be that difficult a thing to implement. A request doesn't need to be sent to the server - the returned results can be filtered on the client's computer

  • Re: Removing the apocrypha...

Thanks for testing... I use a few bibles. I guess I could use inline, or a bible without the apocrypha. Those are definitely workarounds. That said, how do we get this thing looked into by the Logos team? If this is a challenging thing to do on the desktop, I assume it's impossible to do on mobile.

Sascha Andreas John, I want to search the bible and not have the apocrypha scriptures show up. As Andrew pointed out, this isn't as easy as clicking OT or NT. Creating collections and whatnot just to do a basic bible search is a huge waste of time. To be honest Sascha Andreas John, I don't especially care what the early church fathers used. The apocryphal

Thanks all for the replies... Andrew, that's exactly what I found. As someone who would prefer to have the apocryphal works as a "once in a blue moon" reference, having them pop up all the time by default is quite frustrating, especially considering how otherwise helpful the fuzzy search is.

  • Removing the apocrypha...

Hi all, I want to get rid of references to the apocrypha. When I do searches it always seems to pop up. While I could probably come up with some fancy search terms to exclude it, it seems like Logos is bent in a direction that puts the apocrypha on a level that's equal to the rest of the bible. To me, it definitely isn't. Ages ago a guy asked about

This is a very welcome change! Thanks so much for adding it... once I got the hang of how it worked I could immediately appreciate the work that went into it :) Hooefully the next big change is how resources are managed... being able to filter based on whether something is downloaded or by type is long overdue! Also a small typo there... I think you

So Bob, no problem making this thread flex to answering things put to you :) I think I can remember back to when complexity was a request by the community, but I believe the request was for more detailed information about packages, not more complexity in terms of the customer journey from website arrival to purchase. In regards to the practice of business

OKAY, bring this thread back on track… Bob, the issue really doesn’t rest on what you’re offering. I’m sure that has a part to play, but the real issue stems from the fact I don’t think you guys have sat down and asked the question, “Is this as simple as it can be? Is it so complex it’s confusing our customers

Wild Eagle, please. Did you have to quote the entire post to put a simple thumbs up? Are you trying to derail this thread? Please stay on topic. It makes it really hard to get a simple point across if this thread is more complex than Logos' pricing model.

Looks like this thread has gotten hijacked from it's original intended purpose a few times. I'll be back soon to comment on the topic (and thanks Bob for chiming in)... but in the meanwhile, let's keep this on the topic of the complexity of pricing, shall we? (or to put it simply- how confusing it is to buy) I realise people are passionate about subscription

Slow reply here... So as mentioned in my post, this community is great at offering help. But that's not what this thread is about. It's a wake-up call to the Logos crew to do something about the state of things. To address the point of 40,000 resources- sure, that's a lot. But explanations of their base packages (Now versus anything else) are explained

  • Pricing is just crazy complex...

I don't come here often, but I usually do when I try and figure out the pricing to upgrade. This time around this is all that's going through my head: IT'S TOO COMPLEX In another forum, someone else said the upgrade pricing was so complex it led to errors on the website. After wandering around the site for 30 minutes this is what I think I read... I

  • Re: Okay, I'm confused about upgrading.

Thanks Graham! The feature sets page is hard to find from the main page or dropdown menu... you have to compare every package before you can see a feature set is even available. When I looked into buying there was no mention of it. I was only given the option for a base package.

  • Okay, I'm confused about upgrading.

Someone please help my tiny brain- Logos provide... -base packages that include new books and L7 features -Logos Now that does basically everything and has features Logos kept from L7, but for a subscription -the 'gotta know where to look to buy' Feature Sets -the free software upgrade? I'm after a Feature Set, I think. I don't want to pay for more

Seems like a scaling problem on non-retina Macs, like my 2011 Macbook Pro and 2014 iMac.
