• Re: Linux version of Logos Bible Software

Maybe it is an idea for Logos to release a kind of API, and let the open source community build a Linux app based on that. That can be an API based on the Android/Ipad app, or on the Windows/Mac version which is build on .NET.

  • Re: BUG: PBB lost of format

Also lists are lost: A B C and A B C In the Word-document I use headings (head 1, head 2, etc), but those don't show up in the Table of Contents of the PBB. Also the title-page of the Word document, and also the TOC that is in the Word-document, is lost. Creating automatical bible references fails in some sentices, like: Welke functie heeft de klaagzang

  • Re: 4.2 beta: Reading View Paged View... First Looks.. What are your thoughts ?

Nice feature! I would like to see an option to change text alignment to "justify" (that is wat MS Word calls it). Now the collumns are left-aligned, and the right side of the collumn is "jumpy". I would like to see straight collumns, just like most newspapers and books have.

  • Re: Search Speed Test
My test case, a phrase search, is still unacceptably slow. A search for "prayers of the people" in my Entire Library took 158.76 sec (over 2 and 1/2 minutes!) according to Logos's internal clock. I measured 2-3/4 minutes until the first page worth of results displayed and 3-1/4 minutes until the progress animation stopped

  • Re: recent Dutch Bible translations please?

I would love to have the HSV, de Naardense vertaling and Dutch commentaries, like CNT, COT and some public domain commentaries like Dachsels and de Kanttekeningen in Logos.

  • Re: Does Logos run on Surface RT with Windows 8.1?

The Surface RT has a different processor architecture than the Surface Pro: ARM vs x86. So the Surface RT cannot run the Logos software. Now Surface RT can run .NET applications, however Logos uses a bunch of libraries not supported on the Surface RT (like WPF). So the only way to go is using the very limited Logos for Windows RT app.

  • Re: Windows 8 RT
Any news on whether Logos is going to make a more viable app for Windows 8 RT (i.e..comparable to the ipad app)? The last forum I could find on this was from nearly a year ago.
The RT app is on hold right now. See http://community.logos.com/forums/t/73095.aspx for a recent answer from Logos about the RT app.

Just did a test run (using the newest beta-version, 5.1a beta 2) to another printer, but the problem occurs only when printing to the Foxit PDF printer, the other printers work fine. I'm running Windows 8 Pro (no service pack yet)

Syncing of PBB's and being able to read PBB's on my tablet: That's my only wish for Logos 6. Logos 5 offers everything I want already!

  • Re: Logos Setup For Reformed Theology

Being Reformed seminary student myself (not a missionary), I would say: A good systematic theology (can also be on paper, but having one in Logos has the advantage of hovering with your mouse over a reference, and see the Bible text, something that can save a lot of time when you're checking out Bible references). I like Reymond and Horton, both good

  • Crucial image missing in Christian History Magazine

The images are missing in Christian History Magazine-Issue 57: Converting the Empire: Early Church Evangelism. Carol Stream, IL: Christianity Today, 1998. The article called "The Growth of Early Christianity" is supposed to have a graph showing the growth, but the image is not in this magazine or is at least not showing (I use Logos 5.0 SR-4)

For some reason, the fonts in printing get very messed up. See attached PDF. 3884.1995 Update.pdf This PDF is created by printing the NASB95 on the passage Matt. 9:18-26 with Footnotes on. The result is the same as printing directly to my printer instead of to PDF.

You can always mail Logos with the request to remove your Perseus licence. Than all those Perseus resources that are clogging your library are gone. I myself rather enjoy the Perseus collection. And the best thing is: it is free.

  • Re: recent Dutch Bible translations please?
numerals in book names are often written with the period (as it's "Erster Brief", not "Eins Brief") and abbreviated booknames sometimes indicate the abbreviation by period - however, in commentaries, journals and newer works these periods are often omitted for space reasons and sometimes the space is ommitted, so one could
