• Re: Notes vs. PBB Commentary

I think I continue to desire more from Logos notes. Stronger formatting capabilities, etc. Is that a possibility or is further development of notes in Logos a "no go"?
One problem that i run into is that in Notes i can link it directly to my Bible verses, but in a PB i have to cross-link it to a note to get a link in my Bibles.
Good point, Steve. Directly relates to what I was saying about more work with PBBs. db
Obviously this is a personal issue in terms of how notes are used, styles, and so forth. For me, the question is a no-brainer. Personal Books is the only way to go: - I have quite a number of notes over the years from different software packages (30-40K); I keep them in one place. PPB is an easy way to bring them into

  • Notes vs. PBB Commentary

I know "best practices" concerning the accumulation of study materials has been kicked around at different times in the forums; however, now with PBB available and the potential for creating one's own searchable commentary, I'm torn between doing just that and continuing to use notes. Clearly a used-generated PBB commentary would be fully searchable

Michael, Where did you find these Weslleyan works? I would love to have them in my Logos library. As you noted, conversion isn't that hard. Danny

Haven't seen anything yet in the Pillar set that's poor; I've got everything out so far in Logos, and it's all good.

Randall, I probably shouldn't have, but I signed-on to both sets. Really hard to resist. Don't know how I missed them before.

  • Re: RIP John RW Stott

Early on, as I struggled with the Atonement, someone recommended "Uncle John's" Cross of Christ. What a blessing! Unfortunately I never got to hear him speak in person, but he has taught and encouraged me through his writings for many years now. What a dear man of God! Just finished reading Steer's Basic Christian: The Inside Story of John Stott. It

  • Find Highlighted Material

If I highlight material in a given commentary, is there a way to pull just that highlight material together through a search or some other means?

Tried to Print/Export an outline of Acts from various sources; eg, New Bible Dictionary, Holman Bible Dictionary, New American Commentary, etc. In addition I tried to do the same from NIV. I've tried to attach the log file. Hope it works. 8712.Logos4Crash.txt Thanks, Danny

  • Print/Export Crash

Installed L4 on new system and most seems to be OK. However, when I select Print/Export, the screen appears and it begins the process of loading the particular page to be printed only to stop with the message "Logos Bible Software 4 has stopped working." I've repeated this several times with the same result. No once has it worked properly. What should

One thing that really "sticks in my craw" is how they trot out so many "scholars" that are obviously hostile to the Scriptures. They seldom, if ever, interview any solid conversavtive scholars. The whole thing is rigged! The worst effect of such programs is their availability to the general public which generally lacks the discernment to scrutinize

Bob, As great as more RAM sounds, and, BTW, the SSD would be fantastic, I'm afraid I'm maxed out budgetwise. Not to mention the need to maintain my marriage. Thanks so much for your input. Danny
