• Re: Price Disparity Between Logos and Kindle
I usually highlight and take notes, then go to kindle.amazon.com to get my highlights. It doesn't count against the limit the publisher sets. That's one reason I prefer Logos to Kindle.
Well, of course, we all prefer Logos to Kindle. The problem is that some books are not available in Logos. Others are just too

Peter, Kindle does allow you to copy/paste text into a Word doc. I had thought as you do, but I was corrected by a pastor friend of mine. I purchased several theology books in Kindle for a research paper this last semester (due to the cost disparity and/or availability with Logos) and the feature

  • Re: Ancient Christian Commentary on Sacred Scripture

I am so glad that it is back in Logos. Dennis, thanks for pointing this out. Not that I don't already have it, but I think it is a true treasure. I hate for anyone to miss it. The link that you gave didn't seem to work for me, but I searched for the Ancient Christian Commentary at Logos dot com, and it is definitely back.

  • Re: Looking for NIV

Having preached from the NIV since 1975, it pains me to give it up, but it is time for me to do so. I love the NIV 1984, but I hate the NIV 2011. I could keep preaching from NIV 1984, but my congregation can no longer buy one. I need to preach from a version that my congregation can buy and follow along. So, it has come to this. My young adults - the

  • Re: Requesting user feedback: Send to Kindle feature
I do not think I would use this feature...which would only benefit those with eInk kindles.
I totally disagree, Jacob. I read on my iPad, but the Kindle app is a much, much better reading experience for extensive reading than the Logos app. Of course, the Logos app is better for using multiple Logos resources, word

  • Re: Requesting user feedback: Send to Kindle feature

Yes, I would be very interested in a "Send to Kindle" feature for Logos resources. There are lots of Logos resources now that I wish to read cover to cover. Kindle would be a very nice way to do this.

Tempted to buy it in another format and make into a personal book.

  • Re: BDAG PRO/CONS
I really don't understand what You mean, there's the 2009 Danker lexicon, which is cheap, available as printed matter, I linked to it in my first post! Why would someone want an older lexicon. Also buying the BAGD in Logos would mean having to buy it used, which is more difficult, although may be cheaper, than buying the BDAG from
Having studied Gk on my own for a bit more than a year and having the next semester to finish off (other things) before starting Gk in college, I think BDAG would be overkill. EVENTUALLY I will need the next Edition of it, but that's then not now . So I would recommend others who are starting Gk now or later to prioritize other things

  • Re: Pros and Cons of Multiple Digital Formats

I would definitely prefer to have my resources in Logos Format, and have tried hard to do so. I have spent over $10,000 on Logos resources. However, I do now use Kindle and epub and pdf resources for the same reasons that others do. Many resources are just not available in Logos. C. S. Lewis' works are just one example. I have bought them in other formats
