It would be very helpful if L5 would assist the human and indicate where the errors are.

-- Since that may be very tough, perhaps the coding compromise would be to indicate where the first error is (i.e., where the Logos parser got confused).

This would really speed up debugging long verse lists!!

Suggestion: Manual Breaks for Reading Plans

I am trying to enter a specific Chronological reading plan for the NT, but am finding myself fighting the "smarts" built into the reading plan software. Can a new character be introduced that will let me tell Logos 5 how to divide up the reading increments? For example, how about a colon:

luke 1:1-56, luke 1:57-80: matt 1:18-25, luke 2:1-20, matt 1:1-17, luke 3:23-38, luke 22:21-40: matt 2:1-23, luke 2:41-52, mark 1:1-8, matt 3:1-12, luke 3:1-20, john 1:1-18: John 1:19-28, mark 1:9-11, matt 3:13-17, luke 3:21-22, john 1:29-34, mark 1:12-13, matt 1:1-11, luke 4:1-13, john 1:35-51, mark 1:16-20, matt 4:18-22, luke 5:1-11: john 2:1-4:26

What I have to wonder is, if Logos can highlight text across Bible versions instantaneously, why can't it let me permanently highlight a selected word/phrase across those same versions? I understand that Sympathetic highlighting only works with certain resources, but those are the only Bible versions I use. I used to get this before I upgraded to L4, and sympathetic highlighting proves that the connection between versions still exists, so why not allow me to see the highlighted text whenever I run across it.

For that matter, why can't I make a note to a specific word that will appear across those same Bible versions? Anyone who has done serious biblical exegesis knows what the difference a single word can make. Again I used to be able to do this before my upgrade, so why would they get rid of it?

Vyrso Book Suggestion - Guide to prayer

Rueben P.
I would like to be able to re-order the smaller notes within a note. If possible by dragging and dropping. I've been using the "Add Note" button to add a sermon point or thought to the main note based on the text.

The way I've been trying to organize sermon notes with logos is to jot down my thoughts as I'm studying. Then as I do final prep I'll reorganize them as I think the Lord is leading me. I may move one of the points to the end that was at the beginning (that type of thing).

What I've been doing is using iWork Pages and using copy cut and paste. If there was an easier way within logos itself I'd be more than open to trying it. I'm just more used to formatting word processors and am limited on my time for learning all of the ins and outs. I know some of this may be helped by adjusting the notes settings, I just haven't gotten that far yet.

Thanks,

I am currently exploring the new Faithlife app. The least intrusive evernote integration would be the ability to Share to Evernote (like you can to Facebook and Twitter).

It would, as mentioned in a previous post, be excellent if the complete biographical reference information was noted along with the selected text.

The best option would be to be able to sync notes with Evernote. OliveTree has this option.

Linux - Ubuntu

Linux is mature enough in the desktop realm, so are there any plans to have Logos and/or Vyrso for the linux platform?

Passage List option needed!

Logos,

[I] The following thread, http://community.logos.com/forums/t/49430.aspx 5th post, describes a shortcoming in the Passage List feature which would be overcome with a new option to allow a user to create a Passage List without deleteing duplicates of a Bible Reference when using the Add > Add Passages from: drop down dialog. The default process could be what the process is now - to only include the first occurance of a passage. There is a need to allow ALL occurances of a Bible Reference in a Passage List, as an OPTION.

[I] I see this OPTION also being useful with the Merge feature.
