Specific Resources Crashing Logos

I'm reaching out to see if any other Mac users who have the Theological Journals collection can reproduce the problem I'm having. This problem has been escalated from Tech Support to the developers so I know that Logos is on this. But I'm curious.

There are two resources (there may be more, but I'm aware of two) within the Journals collection that will cause Logos to freeze up and require the Force Quit to get out of the program.

1. Master's Seminary Journal 11:1, "Ephesians 1:3-4 and the Nature of Election"

2. Journal of the Grace Evangelical Society 15:2, "Do Believers Experience the Wrath of God?"

Here are the log files. From what I can tell on the support pages this is what I'm supposed to upload - although the instructions are less than lucid.

The Logos version is Logos Bible Software 4.5a SR-1 (4.51.0.2057)

BUG : Highlighting Text Effect Outline Attibute??

Carefully note the highlighting options which have been set and the Preview of the options set in the image clip below.

It appears as though the Text Effect Outline colour is not being applied correctly!

I.e. the outline appears to be black when the body of the font, the text fill colour, should be black. In this example, the outline colour is invisible since it is white, the same colour as the background colour in the preview box. But you can select any Text Effect Outline colour and the results are the same, the outline colour appears as the text fill colour.

BUG: Search Results for the Thai Bible are Incorrect

Just wondering if anyone has observed the following?

A search for "อาโรน" (Aaron) in the entire Thai Bible returns 273 hits.

The same search for "Aaron" in the ESV bible returns 355 hits.

For the Thai search the reference to Aaron in Leviticus 13:1 is not included in the search results. The reference in v2 is included and highlighted correctly in the Thai bible search.

Prayer List date bug

I have a repeatable (for me) bug in L4Mac 4.5a (4.51.0.2048) on a 27" iMac. I create a new prayer item, put in the title and details. then when I go to change the date and set to weekly and pick a day, if I click above the new item (white space anywhere) the entire Logos window disappears. The program does not crash, because the floating window on my second monitor stays there, and if I [cmd]+[tab] to a different application and back the window reappears. However at that point I am stuck with a floating popup with the day of the week that cannot be dismissed, acted upon, or in anyway gotten rid of except for closing the program.

L4 just about unusable in Isaiah

Isaiah 1 or 6 or 13.

It opens up to go through the passage guide and exegetical guide and when it finishes, it sometimes just gives me the spinning pizza immediately and won't let me scroll through any texts at all. For whatever it is worth, I'm not having the problem in other books of the Bible. So, should I just not study Isaiah? ;)

Bug: Lamentations 5 in the "click go" box

The problem is simple, from the user POV at least. If you type in "Lamentations 11:1" or any variation thereof, you will see the "Lamentations 5" in the drop down. No matter what you type in the box, Lam 5 is going to be brought up in the exegetical and passage guide.

HEBREW MORPH SEARCH BUG: choosing a lemma from the suggested list

There is a serious problem in the morph searching in Logos, specifically Hebrew morph searches.

When I type in "lemma:" and begin typing a few hebrew characters (I searched for דבר ) Logos provides me with the normal drop down list and I choose the noun "word, matter, thing". It looks like this:

lemma:דָּבָר:1

The problem is that searching for this results in nothing.

I opened up my BHS and found an example of the word in question, then from the right-click menu I did a morph search on the lemma, which worked fine. It worked fine because Logos in that instance supplied the correct search line.

lemma:דָּבָר:1.N

I can make my peace with the colon after the 1 being different, as changing it to a period doesn't change anything. My problem is the ".N" How am I to know that needs to be in there !?! What does it even mean? And if it is necessary, shouldn't the drop-down list be providing it for me.

(personal vent: In a very strong program, I find the morph searching in Logos lacking. It needs work Logos. email me or post here if you want some specifics)

Same problem here.

I was on a support call about a month ago and the technician seemed unaware of this issue. While on the call, he replicated the issue as well and informed me that he would pass the information up the line so that a patch would be submitted. He wasn't sure if it would get within the next update though.
