Contradictory Messaging

Had not noticed this before. When I clicked on "Update Now" to trigger Beta 4 dowload (as usual) the small blue logo almost immediately appeared in lower right tray.
BUT the following message appeared on my Logos 4 screen "No Updates Available No Updates Were Found"
I do not remember the incorrect messge before.
ON the other hand, I am used to Bradley giving us a link that "usually" totally reloads the beta.exe
Is it that I have not had the software open before when downloading a beta update?
The download went fine and I got the expected "install now" button and THEN the (former) "re-configure" message appeared.
This "update" beta 4 then loaded my "Blank" layout in almost an instant with no indexing. (i assume becuase had no resource updates included?
The 4.4 MB download followed with the usual re-start. This download also appears to have happened very quickly and to have replaced the indexer..
Even that download took place fairly quickly. The Blank page loads and Logos is now indexing.
(Humor: Is this a new psychological ploy - instead of saying 44 hours and then shrinking it now starts at 5 minutes and keeps on increasing?) 5 minutes, then 9, then 12, then 15, 21 - 32, 40 - as still growing in length so I wlll just post this ) This is a 1 core P4..
[The "confusing or contradictory" message is not a big deal, but ...]

I believe this is a coincidence with timing - Logos4 automatically checks for updates (once a day I believe). Once an update is identified and initiated - added to the download job list for BITS - then any update command or update link in the program will result in a "No Updates Available" pop-up notification. This is because the download is already going and in your case perhaps Logos4 was a fraction of a second faster to begin updating than when you used the command.

Because this happened a month ago I can no longer remember all opf the details--but, I would not have needed to type in 'UpdateNow' if I had noticed the icon or seen anything happening. Because of the Forum information, I had expected it to do something, yet nothing was happening. That is why I went ahead and typed in the Update Command. Then for it to immediately say there was nothing to download while it was doing a download seemed a bit strange. Coincidence, perhaps, but sadly I kept no logs. Anyways, thank you for continuing to check this out.
For beta 11, it appeared to work work fine. I knew from the forum that there was an update available, typed in the command, and got the message that the upload was downloading etc.
Thanks

No worries, glad there were no troubles this time.
