"Copy Bible Verses" tool not allowing copy

"Copy Bible Verses" is set to simple paragraphs from ESV to Keynote. It allows me to enter a passage, but the "Copy" and "Copy and paste" options never become active (the words/buttons are there but can't be clicked).

I've noticed that the context menu copy/paste is more robust, but it seems to also be buggy. For example, on James 1 in the ESV, when I try to select 1:2-5, it forces me to select the paragraph an include 1:2-8.

The Copy and Copy and Paste buttons show very little feedback when clicked—it's easy to miss. The Copy and Paste button has been buggy about doing it's job and actually pasting.

Have you tried clicking Copy and then pasting into Keynote manually?

This is probably due to a new feature called Smart Selection—you can turn it off in preferences, or override it temporarily by holding down on ALT/OPTION while selecting.

Thanks—the smart selection was driving me crazy.

Andy the "copy" function was working, but there is no visual cue that it has copied to passage.

I share your frustration with 'Copy Bible Verse' but even if it worked flawlessly (and obviously) I would still recommend a little app that I use constantly.

'CopyLess' allows you to pile up clippings from your resources and then paste them into documents in any order.
