LBS 4 Newbie Questions

I've just installed LBS 4 on a Mac using VMware and Windows 7. I also have the Mac Alpha installed, but it's not ready for serious work yet. The Windows version is awesome software, but ...

First, while the program was in the early stages of indexing, I decided I may as well prioritize some of my resources. Since I didn't have too many at that time, I named the Newberry Greek Interlinear Bible as one of my favorites. Now that the initial indexing is apparently complete I changed my priorities. Everything else seems to be responsive to my new priorities but the Bible quotation in the upper left corner (today it's The Anxiety of Joseph) still stays with the same Newberry Interlinear. Any way I can change that?

Second, where can I look to find out what the program is doing? I'd like to know when it's indexing, and to be able to pause the indexing if I want to. Same with downloading. I'd like to know when it's downloading and pause that if I want to.

Third, I looked around for an exit or quit or shutdown button, couldn't find one. At the moment I'm using the red X at the upper right corner of the window, but with some software that bypasses safety features. Is that the standard way to close LBS 4?

Have you already restarted L4? That change doesn't take effect without a restart of L4 (no reboot, just a restart).

On a PC, we get notified when it's indexing by a popup in the system tray. Mac users will have to help you with the Mac equivalent.

On downloading, we have little control.

What Bill said for that other platform. On the Mac version, the blue icon will appear on the right side of your menu bar. You can click there to pause or cancel indexing. However, be aware that indexing is vital to the proper operation of L4. Consider it to be part of your training in patience. [8-|]
