"&unlocked=no" not working in combination with "Status=Pre-Pub"

This might have been reported already but I'm not sure.

When I append &unlocked=no to a URL that's gotten by doing a faceted search for works by a particular publisher that are in Pre-Pub, it does not weed out any of the books I already own.

EDIT: Found the other thread. People there said it was fixed, but it apparently isn't.

It should show books in PrePub that you already own. (I'm assuming you have one of the larger L6 base packages that includes licences to stuff on PrePub.) But it won't show you books that you've ordered, but haven't yet unlocked, and that was never it's intention, to my knowledge.

I don't want to see books I already own. I want to see books that I don't own and haven't ordered yet in pre-pub. I was complaining that &unlocked=no doesn't work for that. I see that &unlocked=yes does seem to work fine, but unlocked=no does not. My bug report stands. It might be configuration dependent. I'm not claiming it doesn't work for everyone, but it doesn't work for me, on Chrome.

EDIT: Note that &unlocked=no does work for Live products. My complaint was that it doesn't work for Pre-Pubs. I'm pretty sure it used to work that way. But if it didn't, this is a plea to make it work that way. It's a pain browsing through all the pre-pubs looking for ones I might want to order when the ones I've already ordered (which is most of them, it seems) are shown intermingled with all the ones I haven't. I would like to be able to focus on just the ones I haven't ordered yet. And I am pretty sure we used to be able to. I'm not the only one who has reported this broken, so I'm thinking it's not in my imagination.

I was trying to say that you don't already own Comparative Religious Ethics. You've ordered it, but you haven't purchased it (yet). It's not yet been unlocked.

As far as I know, unlocked=no has never hidden pre-pubs that you've ordered, but not yet purchased.

As I said, I could have sworn it did at one time, but regardless, if it never did, I would like this thread to be considered a request for it to work that way. It doesn't currently work the way I want it do. You could (validly, I suppose) argue that it's "by design." I'm saying I want the design to change.

Technically you're right, it isn't "unlocked" yet until the product ships. But Faithlife does know I've ordered it. They grey out the button. So I want a way using the URL to weed out all those ones with grey buttons. Whether you call it "unlocked=no" or "ordered=no" or whatever. Since there's no UI for this anyway, it's all kind of theoretical. I wish they would create a UI in faceted search for weeding out the products we already own or have already ordered in pre-pub or CP.

Good conversation here. Rosie, from my understanding, Mark is correct. Unlocked=no will not show you the results you're after on pre-pub, because those resources have not been unlocked. There are some very rare instances of resources being unlocked prior to pre-pubs shipping that may have allowed you to see the behavior you describe, but it is not the norm.

What you're requesting is on our list of things we intend to deliver, but like all things, it's competing for attention with other priorities.

Know we're looking at it, aware of the value, and doing our best to prioritize all projects in a way that allows us to continually deliver the most important improvements to the website.

Thanks, Glenn. I'm glad to know I was not being unreasonable to expect this. I'll admit my memory of it working the way I expected in the past must be faulty. I understand there are many competing priorities. You'll get more money from people like me to pay for the cost of implementing some of those other competing priorities if you implement this sooner, though, because it will become easier for me to find more things to buy! [:)]
