Why "Personal Books" don't sync throughout my platforms?

I've uploaded some personal books on my laptop and when I open my desktop and try to access the book from there the following message pops out: "You don't have a license to view this resource". Does it mean I have to upload the same personal books in every computer to access them?

No. Maybe something went wrong: Check you settings: Use Internet set? Automatically Download updates set or download was shown as available and confirmed by you? Did download occur and have you restarted afterwards?

Once uploaded, the PBs will sync down automatically just like new resources you bought, with the same potential issues.

You may try the commands "update now" and "update resources" to let Logos check whether there's something missing from your machine.

Hi Pablo and welcome to the forums

If you are running Logos 6 on both platforms and if you upload a book on one it should appear on others - assuming you are using the same credentials on both.

What version of the software are you running on both systems, are other things syncing correctly between them?

I trust my friends answers more than my own, but I am puzzled by their answers. Maybe I am not understanding your question. For clarification: To my understanding, you must MANUALLY sync/upload EVERY single resource you want to have access to on other computers. The process is not automatic. The only thing that automatically syncs is the metadata (title, author, etc). The expected behavior when you try to open a resource on a computer that didn't compile the personal book is the warning: "You don't have a license to view this resource."

maybe you are right. We took Pablo at his words, when he wrote "I've uploaded some PBs" that he actually did so - i.e. saw the non-greyed out Upload button and manually clicked it for some resources - and not only built them.

I wonder if the miscommunication (on either my part or my friends) comes from your use of the word "uploaded." Did you upload each of these books using the button I showed in the screen shot? Or did you mean that you "compiled" (i.e. "created," not uploaded!) the book on your laptop.

First of all, thank you to everyone who kindly responded to my question. You were all so kind and between all of you have answered my question.

Alabama24, you are totally right, I simply "built the books" and did not actually "upload" them. That's where the problem came from and that's why on my other computer it wouldn't sync. I must "upload" and then compile the book so it will be synced across the platforms. Thank you very much.
