Do you know if I would lose any functions of Logos, if I upgrade from my Bronze 5 to the free core 6 version?
Hi Tobias - and welcome to the forums
As a general principle you won't lose anything doing this upgrade.
There are one or two things which don't work the same - and there is a current issue which stops maps in resources being zoomable (which I believe they were in Logos 5) and is being worked on.

Thank you very much for the quick reply and for the welcome! This was my first post, and probably more to come.
That sounds great!. Do you know which things don't work the same? It's great to know that the maps aren't working correctly, if I stumble upon that problem. I just saw at this page: https://www.logos.com/product/46767/logos-6-core-engine, that the core engine didn't include Timeline and Logos media archive. Therefore I was a little worried for losing those features. I just started studying at Harvest BIble College in Australia, and I'm looking forward to using the greek functions of Logos even more.

Excellent - always good to have new people on the forums

Specifically its maps included in resources (such as the ESV Study Bible) which aren't zoomable, maps in Biblical Places are.

The fact that you have Logos 5 Bronze will mean, for example, that you retain access to the Timeline feature in Logos 6.

Probably the best thing to do is look at the "Updated Features" section at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/92701.aspx (not all will be relevant with the core engine). There are some new capabilities in Notes, the "right-click context menu" has been reworked, the Homepage has been redesigned, the "Bible Text Only" visual filter has been enhanced, there are new search options.
But I would expect that if you are used to Logos 5 then you should be able to use Logos 6 without any issues.

The Biblical Places Maps do not appear in Factbook (Logos 6's replacement for Bible Facts) and you have to do a separate Media search to get them in something approaching an equivalent way. But the magnify capability of Logos 6 is poor as the region overlay is also magnified and cuts down the visible area of the map.
Perhaps the best you can do is to see what Logos 6 Core engine offers over Logos 5 remembering that PKG could be your Logos 5 package that will enable features (you will retain features you already have!).

I live near the Dandenong campus and know a couple of its graduates very well!
@Graham:
Great to hear about the timeline e.g. I have now looked at the "updated features" and I've download the new core engine.Thanks for your answers. Logos 6 is working fine for me - and I will recommend it to my fellow students here at my Bible College in Denmark. I'm trying to get used to the new functions by watching videos and so on. Do you know how to download new templates for the Visual Copy feature? I can only find a few backgrounds for bible verses.
@Dave:
The Biblical Places Maps do not appear in Factbook...
Okay I will do separate media searches instead then. Nice to hear about the differences, because I'm trying to get used to it today. I heard about the bag magnifying feature, but I think it will work out anyway.
That's nice! Did they enjoy studying there? I study at harvest online from the Danish Pentecostal Bible College, because they have a cooperation with Harvest, but a funny coincidence anyway!

That's great to hear - on both counts[:)]

They aren't customisable (currently) and are generated on Logos servers
And some of there are keyed to Faithlife "Verse of the Day" artwork - try John 1:1 AND Philippians 4:6 for example
And please start new threads for new questions - it helps ensure that discussions stay focussed.
That's nice! Did they enjoy studying there?
They enjoyed the study and the non-study activities!
