Morph search - am I just not getting it?

I'm trying to do a Morph search (my first ) using the following:
παύω@V?M
I've also tried παύω@V?M????? so that the ?s match up with what shows on the Morph table that displays.
I've tried it in different bible versions: ESV, NA27, LGNTI and I never get any results.
The same search in Logos 3 using [παύω=V?M?????] returns 13 verses.
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? It feels like I've missed something really simple but I can't see what it is.

Try lemma:παύω@V?M. Logos needs the lemma: tag, otherwise it's looking for a word that is spelled παύω and is a Middle Verb. Of course, no such thing exists!

Try this:
lemma:παύω@V?M
I actually typed in g:pauw then selected the lemma, typed in @ and then selected the items from the drop down menu. You need lemma: before the greek text.

Adrian,
It works for me...two things come to mind that might be the cause of your problems:
1.) do you have "ESV" and then also "Logos Greek Morphology" selected on the title bar? It COULD be set at Andersen-Forbes-Hebrew while still on ESV.
2.) Are you picking from the list of words to make sure you are actually getting a lemma? It seems like you must be...
Are you typing this:
g:pau and then letting Logos drop the menu of words and pick "pauw stop, cease" from the drop down menu?
EDITED TO ADD: Man John...you're fast!
You don't have to type lemma...just type g: and then the letters...

Wonderful! Thankyou very much for the help.
A supplementary question if I may...
I get 26 results in 13 verses and this becomes really obvious when I show the results "aligned" every instance is basically doubled up... is this normal?

Yes, for some reason the lemma counts as a hit and the morphology counts as a hit.

Hi Robert, your reply appeared after I'd submitted my first response.
I did have the Logos Morphology selected, although I did notice that if you close the search that Andersen-Forbes then comes up next time you open the morph search. I've read somewhere that this is a known bug so was at least trying to be careful of that one [:)]
I entered the greek work by right-click copying from the Greek text. Hadn't tried the g: syntax.
Thanks for the help.

I need to wait longer before replying [:D]
Thanks Kevin for the info on lemma and morphology both counting as a hit. Confusion resolved... at least until the next time.

Adrian,
you should be getting 15 hits in 15 verses with no "doubling"....

Robert,
I've just tried lemma:παύω on its own and that did indeed return 15 hits with no repeats. Thanks
Finally getting the hang of this stuff [:D]

It doubles them up in the NA27 (where real morph searching occurs [:P]), but not in a reverse interlinear.

And just why does it do that?
At the very least have a "check box" available to pick which hits you want to see...arggg...
I did a search for "holos in the same clause as pas" and had to dig through multiple, multiple hits ...it was aggravating!
