Filtering the Marketing junk mail from Logos

I am frustrated by the constant marketing teasers ... phone for secrets etc. etc.

Today's one is ..

Good news! A product on your wish list is on sale this month. Now’s the perfect time to get that resource you’ve been wanting. Simply visit your wish listand look for the red price.

Please tell us the price, and the resource. I am not scanning my wish ... I do not have time ... just to find a red price that off 5% discount ... that is not a sale!!!

It is simple:

If it is less than 20% off ... that is not a sale ... do not send the email.
If it is discounted simply due to my owning part the set ... do not send me the email.
If you cannot be bothered to help me decide by the simple expedient of describing what you are offering then ... do not send me the email.

You are wasting my time and yours ... please target your junk or stop your junk.

You can easily and quickly set up some fairly sophisticated spam filters to help narrow Faithlife ads down to the useful stuff. One thing about Logos, their marketing tactics and wording in them is consistent and predictable.

Marketing does seem a tad 70-esque (big square glasses, plaid, bell-bottom pants) and I tend to dump even some good deals, because I get so many duplicates and misses by a mile.

Don't get me wrong. I love Logos nearly as much as my grandchildren--well, maybe a several notches below the grandkids. But even grandbabies have diapers that need changed.

You should teach marketing at a college in Bellingham. Excellent series of points, easy to remember.

I know this is not your point (and that you shouldn't even have to make your point), but after I threatened to turn Catholic (smilingly), the gentleman in the Catholic area of Logos did indeed respond (they have a secret switch; I think that was right before he left Logos). I've been email free now for many moons and it's been nice.
