I have redirected a highlighter shortcut to a particular note file by creating a new Palette in the Highlighter tool and redirecting all highlights to a particular note file.
I also want to change the color of the note indicator icon.
I am following these instructions to change the note indicator color.
Changing: Note Indicator or Highlighting
- Clicking on the Note Indicator icon beside your individual note allows you to change the Note Indicator.

- What is displayed in the drop down selector depends on which type of note you created:
- Notes created using the Reference or Headword will only show the Note Indicator selections.
- Notes created using the Selection or Redirect will show you the Note Indicator selections as well as the Highlighting selections.
- The default Note Indicator is the Yellow box (as it was in ver 4.3 and older).
- The default Note Indicator when using the Redirect method is None (box with red diagonal line).
- The default Highlighter style is Highlight with note color (as it was in ver 4.3 and older). This applies to notes created using Selection.
- You can click on the link Use this style by default at the bottom of the drop down selector to have Logos remember what you want to use.
- Logos will apply this Note Indicator to any new individual note added to any Note File.
I don't experience the last bullet point. After following the instructions, when I add a new note by pressing the shortcut key to highlight the text, I do see the reference appear in my note file, I get the desired highlighted text, but I do not see a note icon in the text. In the note file, I get the entry, but the note icon I get is 'none'.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the help.
