Broken up collections notifications

Every so often, I swing by the thread on broken up collections and check a few pages before I get tired of it. Typically, the script goes like this "I just found out that collection x has been broken up".
To my knowledge, there is no notification system (of all the email subscriptions available) but perhaps I am missing something.
If not, would it not be a much better way of keeping those who want to in the loop? I mean, how often must one keep on checking to see whether a desired book is finally available as a standalone? There have even been Faithlife people chiming in on the thread. How about a newsletter or a blog? This I think would be worth Faithlife's time because it would generate sales.
To be sure, one could subscribe to the thread, but it seems that notification is haphazard (whenever and if someone happen to notice).

I would sign up for a weekly email notifying me of broken-up collections.

Great idea. It often seems to take a real long time for a collection to be broken up, but it's still a big deal for those of us with budget restraints.

I'd subscribe to an email or blog, but don't tend to subscribe to threads because they so often drift far from their original purpose and simply become a distraction. I like the idea Francis has suggested.

Francis, thanks for the great idea! This is definitely something we'll look into creating. It's always helpful to hear what types of notifications people want to receive.

I like the idea, I would sign. The Forum thread of "Hey they just broke up this collections" (or something to that effect) has not had much activity and when it did there were people that used it for purposes other than what it was "designed" for.
