Master Resources Request spread sheet - Volunteers required

Ok, see link for my example master resources spreadsheet, which will allow users to find resources that are requested and add their names to them to vote for them... It's totally publicly editable so open to being abused, but hopefully nobody here will do that...

If people are interested in doing this, there's a need to go back through all of the resource requests to add the different requests people have made since 20XX, and then vote if they like.

It's a great idea, but it sounds like a lot of work. Also I know that Leigh Vander Woude in Publisher Relations at Faithlife is already tasked with going back through all the old Suggestions threads looking for resource requests that might have slipped through the cracks. Normally they put them directly into their list of candidates but as we've seen with bug reports, there can be a possibility of resource requests getting missed as well.

I'd be concerned that you and any other volunteers who help out with this project you're proposing will be duplicating effort that's already being taken care of internally. But if you want to do it to help out (the theory being that more eyes are better than fewer), sure, go for it. I can direct Leigh to this thread so she can keep an eye on how your spreadsheet is developing and look for missed resource requests there too.

Alas, I don't have time to help out either.

The problem is that the document assigned to Leigh Vander is an internal Logos document, which prevents us knowing what's on it. I'm guessing it will also contain publications submitted via the "submissions" email address, of which we know nothing. The other problem with it being internal is that it means that we can't vote on it. If somebody new comes to the forums and makes a suggestion, with this document we can say "it was requested in 2011, and has 5, now 6 votes". Also, without searching endlessly through the forums, there's no easy way to know when somebody initially made a suggestion.

I'd be grateful if you could direct Leigh to this thread. What would be great would be if Leigh could make her internal list public. Then we could check for missing submissions and we'd not have to duplicate the effort :-)

I don't have vast amounts of time so I will not be spending hours on this, but if I see requests, I will try to add them when I can. It won't be entirely complete, but hopefully people will add their own suggestions over time, and others will pick up other people's suggestions to add them too.
