"Undo Command" (command Z) on Mac does NOT work

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I am using highlighters, and at least once every five minutes, it inadvertently selects and highlights more than I want to. The problem is that it highlights over other already highlighted material. The command Z option does NOT work, and I am forced to erase all my previously highlighted material and start all over.

Any answers?

First, you probably have "smart selection" turned on. That's probably what is causing the selection to jump. Turn it off in Tools | Program Settings.

Second, highlighting cannot be undone via Cmd/Ctrl-Z. You have to erase it all and start over. Sorry.
