When right-clicking on a guide window tab (PG, BWS, etc) the option to open a copy in a new tab appears. It is possible indeed to run two or more guides of the same kind on different terms (for instance, "love" in one BWS and "hate" in another instance).
However, Logos does not allow two windows of the same guide on the same term side by side. If you run the same term again in the new tab, it reverts to one window.
Perhaps the idea is to avoid accidental duplication that would be drawing on computer resources extensively. But there is use to having two concurrent windows on the same term, when one wants to compare different sections that cannot be seen at the same time from one window (for instance, two parts of a translation or case frames ring).
