I tried to OPEN then right click on the collection title but delete did not come up.

I can't replicate your problem What operating system are you on? What version of L6 are you running (under help --> About Logos)
To delete, go to the Open 'button' and find the collection you want to delete. Right click on the title of the collection (don't open it) and you can delete it. The action is done in the Open Menu.
Drop down the Open menu, then right-click on the title in the menu (not in the collection tab), and you should see a Delete command on the context menu that comes up:
