Need old version of Logos Bible App for the ORIGINAL Kindle Fire

Though the Original Kindle Fire is no longer officially supported by Faithlife, I was wondering if anyone had a link to the latest app that DID work on that 1.0 version of the Kindle Fire. I DID have a version that worked on it, but didn't realize it was no longer available via download on the Kindle App page.

I just now WAS able to get the file on to my Kindle Fire, but I'm not sure what to do next to get it installed. I'm not at all familiar with an .APK file

Do it need to be unpacked, loaded, copied or what? to get the app installed?
