Hello everyone,

Does anyone know of videos done on Steven Runge's collections to better understand and use these collections? I've been playing around with the OT bundle and I'm not convinced I am using it most wisely. (or that I'm getting out of it what Runge wanted me to) I would like to know how to get the most out of this resource. I would like to see exactly what Rundge's purpose is in these bundles and how I can perform the same in my deeper study of the OT. Any help would be appreciated...

That last (yesterday) webinar was practically an advertisement for the Lexham books. They were just telling us to buy the books 80% of the time.

It was really a joke. I was hoping something enlightening from the process of making his books, but nothing was mention.

I really wasted 44 minutes of my time.

the title said "making the HD commentary" .. I really thought of something different. I really thought Dr. Runge was gonna talk something personal about how he made the commentary by using Logos's features.

Also, after minute 27 and on .. they were just talking about .."oh.. these books are good"..

I also felt the seminar was a selling presentation. It was not "making the HD commentary". I don't have a problem with Logos making money using a sales presentation. Just be ethical and call it what it is.

Just curious, why do I hear people on the webinar and sometimes when I call in to Logos, pronounce it "low goes" as in a logo on a sign. They don't pronounce it in the Koine? Why? Is it not λογος? Just wondering why the word is not pronounced right.

Well I just watched the webinar. He started to introduce what its about and I thought he was going to walk through an example text in Greek but he did not. I thought he was going to work on a text using the bundle and showing what it can do to give greater insight and depth. I did feel he was trying to sell it and his commentaries. The commentaries seem really nice and they are not too expensive, however, I'm not interested in a commentary but the text. The whole purpose of buying this bundle is to get into the text, not into a commentary.

I want to get into the Greek and Hebrew text and I want to see what this bundle will do to help me dig in deeper. If I want to know what some other person has found in the pericope I'll open a commentary. Yet in the webinar, he did not show with an example text on how this bundle will give me greater depth into the text. I'll give this another week and if not I can always return it. Thank you all for the help.

Which right? Bob has given the history of how they came to their pronunciation law-gas because a scholar convinced them it was right. Then another scholar convinced them it was wrong. Then a real scholar told them the Truth "who knows?"
