BUG (6.1 RC1): Guides won't refresh for some passages
1. From the Homepage, type John 4:1-26 into the Go Box, and open the default Bible Passage Layout to that passage.
2. In the Passage Guide, type in John 4:10. Hit Enter or click on the arrow or select "Refresh" from the Guide menu. The Guide won't refresh for the new passage.
3. In the Exegetical Guide, type in John 4:10. Hit Enter or click on the arrow or select "Refresh" from the Guide menu. The Guide won't refresh for the new passage.
This seems to affect all verse ranges which are inside of the verse range currently in the Passage or Exegetical Guide. This is quite irritating, as tools like Ancient Literature and Cross References oftentimes become really useful only when you hone in on a specific verse.

I wonder if this behavior is so that placing the Passage Guide within a link set won't cause it to jump all around when you open to a larger passage and then navigate around inside of it.

I am not able to reproduce this on Mac or Windows in 6.1 RC2.
Is your Passage Guide and Exegetical Guide linked?

I am now running RC2, and it is working correctly. So, it was either fixed in RC2, or there was something going on I'm no longer able to reproduce. So, good news!

I was able to reproduce the behaviour in an unlinked PG in my layout in 6.1 RC2.
No matter how I tried to confirm Josh 24:24 the guide was locked into Josh 24:1-27.
But I couldn't reproduce your example in John 4.

I wasn't able to reproduce it right now with Josh 24:24. But what you describe is what I experienced. I also had the opposite occur once a couple of days ago (again, with RC1) - I ran John 4:10, then couldn't change it to John 4:1-26! In all of these cases, if I chose a passage that was unrelated, say John 5:1, it would run. Strange.
But, like I say, for now it's working for me anyway.

I am able to reproduce the issue doing the same search as you Dave in 6.1 RC2 and 6.0b SR3.
I'll create a case to have a developer to investigate this issue.
