I don't think so... but "footnotes" aren't images. If you want to link to an image, that is something different. What are you trying to do?

I have a book that i want to convert to logos personal book using Ms word. This book have some images (maps) . I want the images not to show on the page together with the text. I want the images to show only if i click or point the mouse on the title of the image something similar to footnotes.
Is there any other way to do this maybe like hyper links?
My first thought would be to upload the images to a cloud server like Dropbox and create hyperlinks to each image.
