THIS...
Clarke, A. (Trans.). (2014). The Holy Bible with a Commentary and Critical Notes (New Edition., Vol. 5, p. 802). Bellingham, WA: Faithlife Corporation.
...is embarrassing. Adam Clarke wrote this about 200 years ago. I know that this is supposed to be a "New Edition", but that doesn't give Logos a pass to skip creating a credible, non-guffaw-inducing reference. I remember some Logos employee making excuses explaining how it can be hard to pinpoint specific editions and whatnot. Tough...it's kinda your job. SOMETHING to indicate when an author lived and wrote is preferable to bupkis.
Understand, I'm not just embarrassed for Logos...I am embarrassed that this is the reference I would have to use if I were to quote this resource in my own writing. Something along the lines of (Orig. ed.: 1810-1826; Logos ed. 2014) gives those who care a sense of when the resource was composed, not just digitally reset, which--Logos's sense of value-added accomplishment notwithstanding--is mostly irrelevant.
