BUG: right click to add note to word

If I right click on a word in a verse, for example "comforted" in Mt 5.4, and add note to "Selection   comforted", the note gets added to the verse instead.  Select the word first, then right click on the word and add note to Selection   comforted", then the note gets added to that particular word.

I actually prefer this, since I usually add the note to the verse in most cases and not the word.  If I want the word, then I would select it.

But you can do this.  There are two choices in the context menu:   Selection and Reference.  If you want Reference that's what you should choose.

Note in my clipping I right clicked on crowds.  It selected crowds and is offering to add a note to the Selection crowds.  So that is what it should do.  If you want it on the verse, select "Reference Matthew 5:1".

ok, I've realized that I have a misconception about how adding a note works. I thought when you selected "Selection" "Headword" "Reference" "Lemma" etc. That that is what the note got attached to. But that does not appear to be the case. I was expecting it Go work like Logos 3. Even without that expectation I think it's confusing. Perhaps the writing should be made clearer in the context menu.

We may change it to work as per your expectations in a future beta; that is still in discussion internally.

For me, having the selection tied specifically to the selection - regardless of verse boundaries - makes sense.  When I am dealing with verses, I am nearly always talking about "all" translations. When I want to add a note to a particular translation, it is most often a word or phrase. What I would not want to lose, however, is having a note on a single word within a verse showing up under My Content in the passage guide.
